Anyone ever withdraw money from their account? What method do you use and how long does it take? Any fees associated?

I would think he's referring to his brokerage account.

In my case any brokerage cash I have on hand may be transferred directly to my checking account. Those funds are transferred immediately when I make the switch online and available without delay.
Funds from the sale of stock may not be transferred to cash until 3 days after the trade date.
If you sell a stock, it takes that long to clear, even though those funds in the brokerage account are available for new stock trades immediately.
USAA charges no fees to transfer from brokerage to checking or vice versa.
