Just found out this morning that my wife has been invited to consult in designing some of the small animal enclosures for the reconstruction of the Kazan Zoo and botanical gardens. The zoo is 200 years old and is undergoing a huge modernization with the help of the Atkins corp, ZSL (Zoological Society of London) and EAZA (European Association of Zoos and Aquaria). I just spoke with a Mr. Ilsur Metshin who is going to be our host for the visit and he really paints an amazing picture of the city and the zoo project. I look forward to boating on the Volga with Ilsur and his wife when we are there. I'll post pics.

I hadn't thought about it, didn't know if there are any courses there. I might just bring a 9 iron because I think that's where ruslankaramshin lives.

I googled Russian golf courses by the way...looks like theres only two and their both near Moscow.

Poor Russians...they live such sheltered life's!!

We made up, he found it cool that I thought Gary Kasparov was a heroic individual, we might even have a friendly game of chess when I am there if he is there at the same time.
