range trading stock. Watched it all week go from low of .18 to .20...several times a day. Cool way to make just under 15%.

over 1 mill avg volume.

Tho the name leaves a lot to be desired.

......but I do like the ideas and comments you have made in recent past so I pay attention :)

Thanks for thinking I may make good comments, Katibel. Just wish my son agreed with ya.

Though HIV is not something I would invest in, just trade, whenever I see an opportunity to make quick money, I post it.I mean, there just isnt anything wrong with playing the same stock over and over, as long is its working for us.

Still, I wonder why the company would choose HIV as its ticker, even if it is in the business of treating that disease?

Mad Girl--- Cool move. You're right--despite the "stigma" sometimes associated with the penny/ day-trade thing....nothing's wrong with it as long as it works! You're pretty savvy and a smart one: Must be, to have a sense of humor like you do : )

I was wondering, do you attempt teaching your son anything about investing? I try to fill my daughters in on some of the concepts (trades vs. investing, etc.) and they watch Mad Money w/me....because there really is nowhere else for kids to learn any of this stuff. Most of it probably flies over the top....but maybe some of it registers in their preoccupied little minds.
Who knows?

Funny you should ask....

Just last night I was teaching my son a bit of what Ive learned lately about the market. He used to watch MM with me, cus it was fun to see Jim jump up and down, now he just listens from another room, but he is interested.

He went to one of my saved sites the other day to look up SONY and NINTENDO, of course because they make his favorite gaming systems, to see what they were trading for. Maybe you can interest your girls more by showing them companies that make their favorite things...candy, barbies, etc.

I definitely want my boy to learn the market so he can not have to rely on a job to create wealth. I was never taught the value of making money, but now I am learning, and it is an invaluable lesson.

PS, thanks for the nice comments about my sense of humor and being smart...:) I also just happen to be gorgeous too. :) :) :)

Barbies----That's funny!
My girls are more like me----outdoorsy and athletic: mountain bikes, snowboards and skis, flyfishing gear, kayaks, wildlife, (I work with the Forest Service) mp3 players, computers, etc (but we do like that candy now and then.) Good advice to look at companies that appeal to them, personally.

The older of my children wants to read Cramer's book this summer---she is at an age where she suddenly likes the concept of money (and what it can buy her) and the younger still likes to cuddle on the couch with me and watch MM.

I think I'm slowly getting somewhere insofar as getting them interested in the $$ subject. Makes it all worth the effort

But, damn----I love the subject.

I put some toy companyies in my fantasy portfolio to show my daughter some basics. The stocks were a pain in the a$$ to watch. They just wiggled around and never did much.

As for Cramer, she just thinks he is a crazy, screaming man.

Look at the bollinger bands, they have begun to close. This means that the trading range is getting smaller. IMHO

That's what got my younger daughter interested at first, too : )
Helps keep me engaged---I've got to admit it.
