I have $1100 of extra cash lying around in my brokerage account ready to be invested. I'm looking to put it in a nice solid stock that will produce year after year..not necesarily looking for some pump and dump here. I was looking at WFMI(whole foods), and noticed that they are having a conference call soon, and I was thinking that I should get in on this one before the conference call. What do you guys think? Yay?Nay? Own suggestions?

If I had that amount laying around I would either buy CCJ or ANDE.

Another three to consider if going for long term are FDC, FII, or LYG.

I dont really like CCJ, and as for ANDE...its gone up way too much for my liking at this moment. I like FDC, FII is okay, and LYG looks good but I cant find enough info on it. Seems like it has a nice dividend too.

WFMI.....great store, I'm there often.....but inflation/recession will hurt it IMO.
Ever thought about a DRiP? The above cover the spread well, high cap, dividends (gotta love that tax rate), cover your market cycles/recession etc. My $.02......and I own them all as long termers (since the 80's/90's).

If you're looking to get into DRIPs, look at stocks like FUN (Cedar Fair), EDR (Education Realty Trust), and SYGR (Synagro Technologies). These all pay dividends around 6-8%

I would pick up 100 shares of Jones Soda (JSDA).

He's got the right idea.
Out of the bunch, I like KO, BUD and, PG.
Safe steady growth, with nice paying dividends.
I would also throw in JPM. Check out the chart. It will also get a bigger boost when rates stop rising.

Want to double that $1000 in 2007, buy Anadigics ANAD
Up 400% past 12 months, at $8.75 now and should easily sail through $16 in 12 months.
