his issue is that he invests in undervalued stocks which is smart.. but the strategy only works under normal market conditions.. and this one isnt normal... esp the fact that what hes investing in is whats getting beaten down the most...

Don't cry for Buffett. He'll bounce bigtime when the economy picks back up. He's already averaging down on those loser positions. It might take more than a year or two for some of them (like WFC & UBS), but he will have a nice 2009.

whats he been averaging down on? ive only been seeing him reduce some of his holdings in financials

I'm not sure how up to date their scoreboard is though. I think it's delayed 3 months. But it shows that even the best are having a difficult time in this market.

If the financials keep tanking, I guess Buffett can compensate with $$$ lunches.
