I volunteered to work tomorrow to cover for the folks who do the easter thing (the toughest thing about being an athiest is the lack of holidays). I trade off for the days I care about, Frank Zappa's birthday, Darwins birthday, that sort of thing.

Easter is as popular with the youth as Mardi Gras.
Isnt it?

No sh!t? Solved the challenger crash...man, o man. My brother is a news photo journalist, and he was covering the shuttle that day in Cape Canaveral, FL (I live in MIami, 3 hrs away).
I had to drive him up a special lens that day after the crash, the media was all over that city. It was a somber, sad day to say the least.
Wow,,I am going to google the guy.
You seem to have a vast array of interests....and an atheist too. Does that mean you have no belief in any higher power? If so, thats cool, just curious.

Pretty much. I can't say I have faith of any kind, it never seemed necessary to me. I have a friend who's a catholic priest who says "He just knows", me I don't have the feeling.

I dont have a religion, just a belief in a power greater than myself. Got it from the 12 steps. Works for me.

LOL!
I am with both Ameritrade and Scottrade.
Ameritrade is constantly putting me on the 4-day "time out".
Scottrade must spend a 1/4 of their correspondence budget sending me maintenance call letters.
I feel like a financial juggler.

I'm on the forum because I'm tweaking little things here and there - just changed the button for reply so that it is easier to find for newbies. (Only took me 3 hours.)
Does anybody have any suggestions for the forum's functionality? Complaints, ideas, comments? Does everyone know that you can change the way the forum looks by selecting a different template in the bottom left drop-down menu?
(if you are going to be hanging around, make yourself usefull!)
Or go visit the new stock-specific forum - it is so new, there isn't a logo yet! http://www.onlinetradersforum.com
I'm giving away 20 books to the first 20 posters with 20 posts (maximum 2 posts a day count toward total.)

They said a lot about this, and a lot about that. In summary, I think their opinion is that I don't spend enough time trading and I should increase my focus on it. At least that is what I heard.

Two suggestions: 1) How about a fourth forum, dedicated to more social/miscellaneous topics? This particular forum has become something of a catch-all for anything that isn't Cramer-related, rather than a "other stocks" venue. It might seem like a bit more of a community if there were somewhere we could exchange random banter. And, 2) a links page...to your other forum, the three links in your sig, etc.
Hey, you asked.

Thierry,
Suggestion:
Add some emoticons to access more easily, I never know how to put them smilies in...and a bigger selection would be nice.
Also, some bold, color, size functions too.
I like a forum with pizzazzzzzz. Or I like pizza, cant spell pi-zaz.

When you reply, choose the "go advanced" button and you will have a full range of smilies / emoticons to choose from. You just have to click on them.

I don't see the go advanced button. I see Submit Reply, Preview Post, and Manage Attachment buttons. Someone else told me about the advanced reply but I have never seen it. If I edit, there is an option to go advanced. When I do this I still don't see any additional options except it asks Reason for Editing:

Do you get paid estree for starting new blogs or what? :) What this site is missing is a trading simulator where people can test their skills using real time trades....with a side smattering of cheating of course. :)

Attention SWFSEEKSANYTHINGWITHHEARTBEATORBATTERIES,,,,,,,
Now I understand why you are a SWF, I have only read your posts that I have been forced to look through due to the length and of your obvious disillusions to the posts of any of our serious contributers, NAG NAG NAG, is all you have offered not, buy buy buy ........ Do you see the diff.????
I don't care who is on here nor do I care what they do!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like to see new ideas and express new ideas without prejudice!! And if Thierry makes this passable than more power to him!!! I have signed on to a free site and earned myself a 25.00 book, plus Thierry paid for the shipping of an additional 10.00. Would you do that for a complete stranger??????????
My opinion is you should piss off or shut up, I refuse to put anyone on ignore but you are pushing my buttons..
What it all comes down to is that i am board and I AND ALL I CAN SEE IS RED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thats not mentioning the fact that my wife fell outta bed this morning landed on her menstrual cycle and ran my ass over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MORE RED!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Please, if you don't have a stock to recommend or a real background check to make (on a stock) don't reply!!!!
Otherwise I can assure you there will be more criticism in your near future.

Madam, I suggest you read the story of chicken little. You cast a wide blanket and cover so many innocents that any good you may hope to accomplish is grossly overshadowed. The folks here who you accuse of being pumpers or scammers are more likely investors/traders rooting for a security in which they have a legitimate investment.
I'll assume your intentions are honorable (my philosophy is never attribute to malice what is equally likely foolishness) and urge you to mediate your posts, it will result in your being taken more seriously when your point is valid.

OK, SWFseeksM4LTR is banned. I probably should have done this a long time ago.
I deleted a couple of her last posts.
I also deleted a couple of posts by others that referred to her last deleted posts, don't take that personally, it's just that those posts didn't make sense anymore.
Please let me know if you see her come back with a different account, she will be easy to spot, she is very paranoid.
