This doesn't work. At least it hasn't for me. This adage is not working at all. I sell gold and buy health. They keep going the the same. Who made this up to buy weakness and sell strength? I want to choke them.

Why would you sell strength and buy weakness?
That's crazy.

I guess the guy who bought OTD yesterday at say 2.30 fo da last run and then retired to da local pub at 4 PM EST to clebrate a great trade might disagree witya....based on what da pig traded to in AH trading of course. :) Purrdickshun fo Mon.....da fokes who own CWPC will be heading to da pub too....but not to celebrate! *-) BTW, OTD still needs to take out da 2.97 but if ya gotsta live like a trader ya may as well die like one too! Doesn't that just mean you sell your stock when it seems like it (or the sector) has finally gone wild and crazy and is $$ popping... and then buy something that used to be financially flying high but is now wallowing in a @$#*& cycle (but is still a really well run and profitable company)?
That old phrase "Sell high buy low" is all the philosophy is suggesting we do....except when it's actually time to pull the trigger and buy or sell, that's a tough thing to do because WE DON'T WANT TO SELL OUR MOST PROFITABLE STOCK---and WE SURE DON'T WANT TO BUY WHAT SEEMS LIKE A DOG (and I don't mean a DAWG.)
Seems if you just hang around being bored for a while, good companies sometimes fall for not really legitimate reasons (like UNH right now) and if you buy them at their weakest points you can make some bucks. Other companies, like JDSU (whether it's due to their better run business, increased demand for their fiber optic supplies and testing products, or Cramer's hyping of the sector....whatever) could be sold at their "strengths" and money could be made there, too.
As I see it, sometimes ya just have to pull the trigger instead of being too hopeful and greedy---and/or you have to be patient enough to twiddle your thumbs and wait for the companies you really want to buy...to BOMB for god-knows-why.
What do I know except, hey, it usually works for me. I read, read, read all the reports I can find, watch the business news, ask questions....go through message boards like this...and watch MAD MONEY.
