I agree with Cramer about "amd" having a better product--however, however if you are Newbie, I would strongly suggest ye get to the nearest sideline and hang there until a clear cut winner has been established...It is not a foregone conclusion "amd" will win if Wall Street prefers "intc" even if it is for all the wrong reasons...This is shaping up to be a nasty war, and unless you are a pro, I would step aside. Example? Cramer, who in the real world is as tough of a Wall Streeter as you will find, has way, way too much passion on this. Multiply this several times over to get the passion (not logic) for war brewing on Wall Street.

I don't see why this has to be an either / or.

INTC and AMD should do fine. This competition is helping both companies.

I don't buy Cramer's analogy of INTC being GM. It is naive and simplistic. Seems to me that Cramer doesn't understand technology very well and often believes what he hears.
