I don't know much about PEIX. I have had a position in SLW since November. I have had a nice ride up. They just issued more shares, so the dillution has hurt the momo of the stock. Their earning are out either the 19th or 20th of this month. Their earnings shouldn't be much of a surprise because of their business model of buying silver at a set price and reselling at spot.
I think as long as silver is going higher SLW will have an upside as well. From what some others say on other boards about SLW, they think a 12-15 pps is doable this year.
I hope that helps a little.

Gold for jewelry AND electronics. Silver for jewelry and was for film. Copper for bearings, electronics, pipe.
Gold acts as an inflation hedge. Silver follows gold but why? Of the 3 metals I think Copper is the most used and most needed in the future and shortest in supply. That being said, wouldn't the copper stocks be better to be in than the gold or silver?
Just wondering for different opinions.

You have until Mon at noon to realize that you should take profits in both PEIX and SLW. By Fri of next week you will be in da red on both positions even if you bought at levels 20% lower than current prices. The precious metals and most of energy gets deeeeeestroyed next week. Move into Cramer's fiber optic plays and catch the run to a double top! LOL

I just read that Bill Gates is going ( or already has ) to invest 84 mil which will give him 28% stake in PEIX, Although this is probably already figured in.

No he's not joking. He really believes that s**t! All his posts are always like this. The market, and almost every stock is about to drop 20% every week, and has been for at least the last 6 months. At some point he might be right. But no-one would ever make any money in the stock market with that kind of fear of trading/investing.

You're right, he's not joking....he IS the joke.
I forget who it was, some fat cat investor many years ago when asked what the market would do answered...."The market shall rise and the market shall fall". Anyone who thinks he/she can predict where the market will be a week from now is smoking funny cigarettes, especially with the investing environment we find ourselves in at the moment (and it has been this way for quite a while). All you can do is buy your ticket and take your ride. Hopefully, you can catch a break once in a while and come out a bit ahead of the game.

Every stock will drop 20%...some will drop more! you know you at one time believed there was no way GTE would get to where it is now. Oh yeah...where it is now is alot closer to where it will be when I like it than where it was when you said it was good! LOL

slw going to give you a new high or equal the the last high soon. that high will only be enough for you to say " shew! the trend is continuing " look for a steep fall after that.
Looks like it be breaking apart internally...
peix i am not sure. too foggy in the indicators room.

Well it has been frustrating being long in SLW recently. Watching it jump up in the mornings and decline away again. It has been a great trading stock - buy at the end of the day, sell at 10am. But it hasn't tracked the recent climb in silver - perhaps because in many ways the climb was so well predicted and it was already built in. I do sort of expect to sell my l/t position once it confirms that top again but it depends if it can get back to tracking the rises in silver prices again, without the traders decline, in which case it night be a worthwhile l/t hold. Watch for when it stops forming those candles with the long line on the top! (what ever they're called!). If it confirms the top and closes at a high (no decline, no long upper line on the candle) then I'd hold for more.
Good luck.
(I know nothing about PEIX!)
at the end of the day, sell at 10am

SLW - short term outlook: 2 things I like about this stock - 1) its strong linear regression divergence (meaning its very erratic in its movement) and 2) its range contraction over the last 2 days. I see this stock coiling for a move further to the upside.

PEIXD on fire today - congrats to the longs on that one!
SLW nice move through 11. The key is 11.50. If the day it moves through that, it finishes on a high, then it's a hold. If it sees that high and pulls back most of the days gains afterwards, the way it has been doing the last 2-3 weeks (not today), then I think it's a sell. Could be tomorrow. I like the way it moved to day though.

Read the screen name and tell me the guy doesn't puff blunts. The only ppl glorifying 420 that I knew were teenagers. So it seems that stratoman is either a teenager or developmentally delayed. That, or just a stoner whom I fear may mislead someone on these boards that is not as acute to the younger generation shiboleths.
And yes, there is another poster on here that glorifies getting baked in his screen name.

Welcome to the boards, strat, and don't mind the ribbing. I think you're doing precisely the right thing with your paper trading, it'll help you get a much better feel for things once you're ready to start ponying up your own money.
And if it's any consolation, anyone who uses the phrase "puff blunts" has probably puffed a few in his day.

It's not exactly bursting out of the gate today, although it's hanging onto the 11.50 area ok. I've inserted a 2% trailing stop on this thing as I've made some nice money on it and it's starting to get a bit boring but with quite a lot of potential downside.
The earnings tomorrow could kick it in either direction. We'll see!

It'll probably make .50 per share this year. How do you weigh in the p/e ratio with increases in revenue over 165%? I know Cramer mentions this in his book, which I don't have. As I see it, it's at about 23 times earnings for this year. I guess with increase in revenue so much it could be at about 40 times earnings. This would make it worth about $20 per share this year. I like math what can I say.
Cramer really dissed Peix on todays show.

Indeed - $20 this year is what I got as the target too. There'll be some bumps on that road though. Probably hit $12 tomorrow which will be a nice milestone. At some point soon gold & silver is going to have a really bad week though. Booo's not always full of sh*t! Maybe next week. Thing is, when analysts start targeting this thing towards $20 and silver goes down, it'll hold up ok. I like to trade around these bumps though so I'll still be watching the daily charts even though I'm very bullish in the l/t.
It actually seems to me that SLW and PAAS have actually been a little behind the rise in silver as there has been lots of people awaiting the crash. Hence why SLW was trading so badly last week. I think these two are now going to catch up with the gains that silver has made. Most of the silver stocks were down today even though silver hit an all time high! Doubt in the market is good!
When does that silver ETF start?? I heard an announcement about how much silver they were intitially going to buy, today. Can't remember how much it was. A lot though!
