The word on the street is not to invest in Peru cuz of some political turmoil bout to happen there. At least, that's the rumor, someone can either back me up or slap me in the face here.

You have the jist of it. They recently had an election between three major candidates with the Nationalist receiving the most votes. Peruvian law affirms the winner must win by a majority so what happens now is the two highest vote getters have a run-off, in May I think.
Some ppl feel the Nationalist, who was predicted to get the most votes in this last election, will win, while others feel the pro-business candidate will win now that it is between just these two. I personally wouldn't bet on the pro-business candidate. If you look at the three candidates in last Sunday's election the guy who lost was a heck of a lot more like the nationalist than the right of center candidate. Reasons leads me to say the leftist voters were split between two leftist candidates and now only have one to vote for.

Oh, I forgot to mention I read this today. It may help to explain the bounce:

Scroll about 2/3 of the way down to get to the relevant part. That's where I got the info about ppl making a bet the right of center candidate would win.
