does anyone else besides Boo and Cramer see this dropping to 3.50? It seems a bit oversold, along with all of telco, right now. Is it safe to jump back in?

Big difference though. CIEN was one of the fiber optic plays he sent into a frenzy. I said it was junk and got you out in time. If it wasn't for Cramer you wouldn't have gotten what you did. If it wasn't fo me you wouldn't have kept what ya got! *-)
So you still thinking it is headed all the way back down?
I'm thinking it looks attractive right here. I still think it can get back up to 4.80.
What about it?

I doan see any reason why it can't make it to 4.80...specially since the scenario I purrdicted will materialize next week....the commodity plays will get crushed which will allow anything in other sectors that have left nonconfirmed tops to rally. CIEN will not make a new 52 week high but it will definitely work off that -50 million OBV. It is already rallying off a buy signal which is bearish. You can play AVNX right here fo da move that will finally take out the 3.50 high. *-) Or you can go wit Q to and through 7.50...but if ya gotsta play the fiber optics I'd go wit AVNX. And doan forget ta chort GLW as soon as the 52 week high goes! Big tumble a comin there. *-) Hmmm...I wonder if my purrdixshun that SIRI only makes it to 5.50-5.60 on this run comes true or if it finally confirms da 5.85 top...betya you are interested in finding out too...aren'tcha? :)

I just have a pretty good feeling that this quarter will still show a lot of growth in the sector. We are also getting to the point where good news for either XMSR or SIRI is good news for both, because it shows more and more people are willing to pay for radio.

Yeah I got Q in the monthly challenge. I'm lookin for CIEN to make it back to 4.80. I hope its not too much of a gamble with oil likely to rise next week now, but we'll see with SIRI. I just have a pretty good feeling that this quarter will still show a lot of growth in the sector. We are also getting to the point where good news for either XMSR or SIRI is good news for both, because it shows more and more people are willing to pay for radio.
I doan think Q will still be standing when the end of April rolls around. I also SIRIously doubt oil will continue to rise next week. It might hold steady...but the oil stocks are gonna starta tumblin in earnest which means da commodity won't be far behind. Although by looking at da chawt of F one could easily argue that sumthin is gonna happen to send it into that final tailspin. And I'm wreckin rising oil could do it....or falling mawkets in general could do it. :) My guess is that early in da week da energy sector plays its hand and shows it was bluffin. That sets off anudder rally in stuff that still wants to sucker idiots in...specially if AVNX is up 15% by Tue and Cramer gets another chance to go on his "tech rally" rant. LOL By fri everything that needs to top out could easily do so. Remember...I promised everyone that a serious mawket debacle like Oct 1987 was gonna be a Fri and Mon event! When I say sumthin I try and keep my word. :) As far as XMSR and SIRI goes....I played XMSR in a monthly competition at Einvesting.com because the OBV was so negative at the beginning of the month plus there are more than 1 nonconfirmed tops. If I was to guess what happens going forward I would say that the news for SIRI will probably be bad and XMSR will benefit. In the end will XMSR buy out SIRI?!!! Hmmmm...interesting question and based on da cycle of da stocks it could easily be argued that SIRI gets to 7.00 tops and that's it. It would be better fo da longs if it failed first because if it does you know it will always come back. If it confirms all tops and then fails eventually you will be axing me if I think this pig SIRI will file BK!! LOL

CIEN would have to break through a couple of layers of support to get down to $3.50 not that it couldn't happen. I think it will drop again this week and maybe make it down to the $3.75 area

I still have FNSR chort but I hedged with an AVNX long at 2.42. :) I know the top is in for FNSR so I might just hold it for a guaranteed 30%+ gain....or I might cover and rechort on da coming Naz rally which will result from tumblin commodity mawkets....like crude. Oil stocks gonna get deeeeestroyed. Precious metal stocks too. We may actually see a key reversal day today in many of em but I doubt they will take out Fri lows. Of course anything is possible when sumthin is definite! *-)

To tweak this AVNX/FNSR trade just right the correct play would be to sell AVNX on any opening strength....hold the FNSR short till AVNX trades below today's 2.35 low. Then buy a AVNX long position equal to 2 times the FNSR short position....or take some of the FNSR chort away as you buy AVNX. That be da best strategery to use right cheeya. I would tend to hold my FNSR chort unless they was options then I'd go wit plan B as mentioned above. Of course you would load da boat chort in FNSR and AVNX as soon as AVNX trades through 3.50...if it even takes out that high.....dat be not gar-own-teed when yer an overbloated pig turd. :) Hey! is EGHT fixin ta run or is it an overbloated pig turd dat got squoooshed under foot? Dat one yousta be a hottie! Remember?!! Ahhhh....never mind. :)

I thought you sold a sizable chunk when it was waaaaay up there above $5. You should be in the driver's seat and looking to buy the next rally! Wit SIRI too! :) Basically you are axing me to go agin my principles when you want me to take a stock I know is going to trade to a new 52 week low....which both SIRI and CIEN most certainly are.....and you want me to advise that you buy at current levels. Now I know that CIEN and SIRI will more than likely stage a rally o'2 befo they crumble. Will you just settle for this? CIEN is a better prospect for a trade higher than SIRI is......I hope you are happy wit dat. :)

Maybe you will get lucky and this is forming a support....
yeah I have seen this thing bounce off the 4.00-4.05 area a few times in the last 3-4 months. Hopefully I didn't speak too soon, but it looks to me the longer we consolidate here, the more coil there will be in the proverbial spring.
Time will tell.
there's a nice bounce. I would feel better if it closed above 4.40 though.
