This will wash over, its just a precautionary technique ta cover there a$$
we will find out that the people having these troubles are the same people that wash there lenses in dirty toilet water and sometimes forget to rinse . Sure theres the bankruptcy thing also.
I had to write something, got sick of the religion war. seen enough red today!!
I agree, I have been using that moisture loc, and my eyes are fine besides the fact that I'm blind.
This seems to be a major overreaction, but with all the falling daggers I've been catching lately, I ain't ready to stand underneath another one right now.

I'm looking to buy BOL for a portfolio that I manage for a friend of mine. BUt I will wait for the dust to clear a bit. Obviously, all the bad news is now factored into the stock.

It may take some time to blow over. I just heard Walgreen's is pulling all of one of BOL's lines ("Renew" maybe?) and RiteAid is pulling a smaller segment. Seams that will be felt in their earnings regardless of who's to blame for the consumer issues.

Hilarious!! (but true) :D
yeah, it's best to wait for the dust to settle, because while I know there probably aren't any problems, I will still think twice before I buy the moisture-loc product. That said, though, they still have the contact solution market cornered.

I have read that they have had the same problem in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia !!!!!!!!!
I don't think the dust has even started to settle.
But when it does it should be interesting!

For those of you who are old enough, remember the Tylenol cyanide scare in the early 80’s? It was years before I stopped immediately associating Tylenol with poison even though the incident had nothing to do with the product and was the result of some nut lacing about 12 packages in one store.
I guess my point is that I would be really cautious as this may have fallout that extends beyond the original story. However, for a quick trade, it will obviously have some real potential at some point.

I agree, I cant see BOL not checking and double checking there merchandise. There has to be scientists standing on top of scientists checking this out right now. And would be very surprised if the conclusion is that BOL is stacking there nu-view with a virus!!

He alerted his ActionAlertsPlus subscribers to sell it. He says he is stuck because of trading restrictions, but advises anyone else to sell. Cramer listened in to this mornings conference call and said BOL should be ashamed of themselves. He really gave them *&^% in his newsletter! Wow!
I am just glad that this is one stock I DIDN'T buy on an initial Cramer recommendation!

i wouldnt touch this stock now
sure, the market is overreacting and the users are probably guilty of reusing their lenses longer than normal and not washing their hands.
but bol's image is thrashed big time now and with most drug stores pulling their products off the shelves, their market share will go in the toilet.
hard to make money when you cant sell your products.
plus the fact that we live in a society of handouts and you know damn well some lawyer is going to get a class action lawsuit put together.
strong sell here folks and stay away.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssss, BOL is going to be a terrific buy next week. Just wait for the smoke to clear. Trading is all about emotions. All the panic sellers will be gone and the buyers will step in. Keep watching the candlesticks and wait for the doji/hammer or spinning in the next few days.

I know. I just sent that link to my girlfriend. She's been having problems with her lenses such a severe redness and irritation off and on for 6 months. She doesn't use the lenses in question but I don't know about the solution. And I know her Dr. had her switch lenses not long ago due to the discomfort. If she qualifies I might be retiring early everybody

It's silly and yes I think maybe if you give this a bit of watching, you can buy this stock on weakness, this is a HUGE overaction to a silly silly thing, I have worn lenses for about 15 years and use a million different products, and I have a lot of trouble believing these allegations, but hey this is what the market does it over-reacts and adjusts, I think BUY that mofo if you wanna (I'm not gonna though, you buy it)

if anybody is still thinking of buying bol.
cramer just said in his latest aap alert that he expects bol to fall down to 40, matching the bank of america sell recommendation.
He also said that most of the shareholder base has been turned over in the past few days and that the growth investors have been replaced by value investors.

Down to $40? What does Cramer know? I don't think so. I hope it goes to $42, but it may not go that low. My indicators are begin to turn up a bit. Maybe one more down day on Monday and things may begin to look better for BOL.

This pony is the only one in my arsenal still making me the mad money!!
With shortages in the contact lens isles, there is big pressure on the FDA to come up with some answers.
Will BOL slump into a hole that will take years to climb back out of?
Several company's are trying to pick up where BOL left off and are having trouble meeting the demand of the public. Which will leave them with few options, invest more money in a program to increase production and hope that the FDA has proof that the virus is caused by in proper conditions in BOL labs.
Or do these other companies, who are under the same sanitary guidelines as BOL, know it is virtually imposable for one of there products to carry a unseen virus/bacteria, and will sit back and slowly increase production with hopes the FDA delay will give them time to acquire new customers with little to no new investment?
Has anybody else been playing this game?
