Pick a stock from $2.00 - $5.00 that trades no less than 100k shares daily volume that you think will go up in the next five days.

The challenge plays till fridays close where I will calculate who won and post it on the thread.

Rules

1. stock priced between 2.00 - 5.00

2. volume of no less than 100k daily

3. entry price must be achieved during daily market 9:30 - 4:00 times (no pre market or after hour prices allowed)

4. no cramer picks from friday's show

5. one ticker per forum member

6. a ticker can be used once per challenge - if you want to use the same ticker for next week you must call it first after Friday's market close (4:00 est)

7. once an entry and ticker is selected and posted, there is no changing the entry or ticker.

8. entries for next challenge opens at Friday's market close (4:00 pm EST) and closes at midnight Sunday (12:00 pm EST)

I think there is a "courtesy" rule which allows whoever played a pick da previous week to take it again. I'm not sure how long one has to wait to find out if the previous owner of a pick is gonna play it again...Sam. Howza bout this rule for future competions? If you have a play and you plan on running it again the next week, please let everyone know on Fri while the board for that week's race is still active and not locked out. I was hoping the playa who took XSNX last week would relinquish it so I can take it. But it looks like ya beat me to it there Mlegha. Now I gotsta find sumthin else :)

Ok, so da numba be 2.50ish...hmmmm...I think we be should look fo da toin sumwhere twixt 1.50 and 1.75....and I doubt we will see that numba befo Wed at the earliest....let's hope not anyway. :) I didn't realize that jacob played it at 2.65...above da mawket. he may not get there fo Fri. Or it may just stage a BOOOYAH befo DA BOTTOM play premie! definitely one to watch though.

ca-mon booo! what more can ye ask fer in a week? its got to be a premie cause there aint enough stocks out there in the final trend lows... i mean i wait fer some weeks to come in at a slight trickle and gets pizzed when they gain a few pennies. If i knew your stuff i could build a scan to finds em just in the right spot. I be like the agent in the movie matrix, " i need the codes, i need in your mind, i need to get free but i cant without them dab blasted codes...." lol
although i have made a pretty good scan, they are still not right where i wants em. I mean i want to think i can build a scan to give me a stock to buy or a few cents away from being in da buy mode. ya-know??? a day or two away? that would be the holy grail to the weekly challenge

Upon further review of the volume rule, I have come to the conclusion that if the stock does not carry a volume greater than 100k through the week it is disqualified.
I will have no problem changing this rule for future competitions. But as it states right now it would be unfair to change the rules mid-stream.
If anybody has any discrepancies with this ruling feel free to post your opinions.

Hi, I'm new here and to investing as a whole. I am not a 'BIG" investor either. I can only buy 100-200$ at a pop. Basically I am trying this out to see what happens. I am mainly doing it for my family's future. Although I will be trying the short termstocks as well. Gotta have fun with it too you know. Anyway, MY pick is American Oil & Gas Inc (AEZ) It's at 4.50 right now. I figure with the prices the way they are and gas going up still it's a good bet this will rise to about 5.15. I hope I played this right. Let's see.:twisted:

Makes sense to me! Energy prices are at their highs for a second or third time. Even though most of the energy stocks have at least quintupled in the past 3 years it is pretty obvious that energy prices are going hihger cause we can see that. And higher energy prices mean higher stock prices. That's pretty obvious. I think most fokes would agree with ya. So most fokes would buy I'm sure. Makes total logical sense actually. I don't know why the aveage investor doesn't do so well historically....stuff like energy is like a "no brainer". Weird....doncha think? :)
