hi All,

can anyone give me advice on good software to back-test my trading strategies? i have been googling for hours, downloaded half a dozen really crappy programs, and got nowhere.

I play the S&P e-mini contracts based purely on technical analysis. So, i'm looking for a program where i could put in certain buy / sell rules based on technical indicators (stochastic, RSI, DMI, bollinger, etc).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! i have no problem paying for software (ie, i'm not looking for some crappy freeware) if it's good.

Thanks so much!!
Brent.

ive heard good things about esignal... i woul say most good software carry fees.. so i dont think youll fnd anything thats really free

imo i never really believed in back testing a strategy... when it comes to live trading, the rules are completely different
