how much do you anticipate this going up?

Dont know, but its supposedly a volatile stock in a downtrend, so get in and out fast.
Stockbum is owned by same folks as thestockster.com. Pump n dump, but they do produce results.

lol... when did you get the email?
Mad Girl Investor
03-30-2006, 06:16 PM
They wrote me Tuesday saying they would announce thier pick via email Thursday morning at 9.31 am..yes 9:31 specfically. And they did, to theminute.
I got it then, volume started picking up, went from 25 to .31 (hod), but volume was minimal.
Mid day they emailed aplogizing for soft volume and that theyd leave it on the site til Monday. So who knows, maybe tomorrow it will jump. Im not banking on it tho.

it only started rising after 10 so there was ample opportunity to jump in at $0.25ish - could've made an easy 20% and got the hell outta there!
Mad Girl Investor

Nope, I by the time I got it and place the order, I couldnt get in at .25. Got it @.28, as it started to pop.
I came here to post the this thread first...that was my mistake!
Mad Girl Investor
03-30-2006, 06:40 PM
PS. it was up by about 10% by the time the email arrived as it had good news first thing this am.
Madgirl, I wanted to test your theory too on this...I bought $300 bucks worth when you posted your thread this morning. Then I saw it leveling and figured it be tough to find a buyer. So I sold it at .295. I couldn't get in on it at .25 either. Ended up getting it at .28 and selling at .295..just barely enough to cover my broker fees. I really don't think that these pump and dump websites or emails allow anyone to make money on these, EXCEPT for the pumpers. But I had to try it just once to see if it actually panned out. You can try to trade it on paper, but when you actually do it, you realize that you can't get in at the best price, and then you can't get rid of it either.

I understand your sentiment. I wanted to give it a try too, especially since Ive seen there pumping go to as high as 100%. Today the Dow was a dog and it dragged down alot of my stocks, so who knows, lets see what tomorrow brings...Im still in this turkey.
Gooble Gobble!

well.. i think it is all a matter of timing and 20% luck... like MGEN by stockster went up 163% the other day.. but crapped out hard the 2 days after... just another pump and dump...
When you get the email, I think maybe the best route is to place an order w/ a trailing stop like 10% lower or so ....
like OGHC for .25, trailing stop at .04... just in case...
if it goes up, good..maybe you will get some little coin... but if it goes down, you are not completely screwed...
$500 in at .25 = 2000shares
stop loss at .24 = 420.. loss of $80.
sell at .30 minimum = $100 profit...
sounds like a whole lot of whatever...

On these penny's Ameritrade doesnt allow trailing stops, market or limit sells only. So I need to babysit them, or switch to another broker, which I want to soon.
I will see how it goes tomorrow...ya never know, it may pop or it may poop. Either way, I will be done with it.

Subscribers,
Stock Bum will publicly display all of its personal holdings from
here on out. The webpage can be accessed from our site's homepage and
it will be updated in real time. The URL address is below.

Lastly, we made an error in our email last night. In reference to
OGHC, we said "if the shorts get spooked," look out." It should have
read, "if the sellers get spooked, look out."
We still don't see much updward resistance on OGHC and if a wave of
buyers move in, it could really take off. Stock Bum holds OGHC and
plans to do so as OGHC plays out over the next several days.
Good Luck,
Stock Bum

We have added HDSN to OGHC on the site.
OGHC bled badly today. My personal account was hit badly as I owned
too much of it. I hope HDSN will help put that behind us and move on
to better things.
Have a Nice Weekend,

Seeing I am a web developer getting back into stocks.. I am going to start my own website...mainly so I can track mine better... plus prob a contact us section and/or blog...
Post my current and past portfolio picks.. such as symbol purchase price, sold price, change, etc...
I am really horrible at keeping a running tab of that info....
