BOSTON----Pioneer Municipal and Equity Income Trust and Pioneer Tax Free Income Fund announced today that each fund's Board of Trustees has approved a plan to merge PBF, a closed-end fund, into Pioneer Tax Free Income Fund, an open-end fund.
