If you haven't seen it, I would say they're playing twice a day on CNN. It raises some interesting points. Check this website:

http://www.cnn.com/CNN/Programs/siu/

They make cases for why America, if not the whole world, is in danger of an energy crisis. One which could bring America to it's knees and the global economy to a halt. Here are some of the things they discuss:

1. Hurricanes taking out or retarding production at an American Refinery
2. Terrorist attacks in the Middle East which retard production (direct attacks or attacks on infrastructure)
3. Increased demand from other countries (China & India)
4. Rising food costs/shortages

One thing that I would like to mention is that there is so much concern over the demand growth in other countries but one thing people are forgetting that electric cars are being released in 2010. Not just from GM (the Chevy Volt) but also some from Nissan. Couldn't these countries start buying fully electric cars. A lot of people in China don't own cars, so when they do go to buy them why not go electric? This is what has to happen. Either that or build a new refinery in 1 year and have it online. Yes I know the second thing is almost laughable  and perhaps we should just continue to laugh and not do anything about it, :driver::laugh:
