If someone on this forum has had a good experience with a tool for doing chart analysis, that also is an instructional instrument, please leave a comment about it here.

I am looking for something that is not tied to a brokerage firm or other expensive trading vehicle. If you do your own analysis, it doesn't have to be.

Also, I would also like to find a site with large stock charts and scrolling timeframe capability.

For scanning through charts I use Finviz on a regular basis and for detail work stockcharts.com is a good one.

If you come across one that's better in your search please let me know. You'd have to get the premium software that your broker would offer to get anything too fancy.

Did you ever find what you were looking for Fizzboom? I am looking somewhat for the same thing. If someone could give a good description and how they use it as opposed to just posting a link, that would be so much appreciated!!!!!

Thank you in advance!!!!!!!

You can try http://www.freestockcharts.com. Their charts are silverlight based and are pretty cool.
