MY top pick for today. Very oversold and formed a long tail hammer yesterday. Looking for a big bounce today

You see, it doesn't make any difference to TCG whether a stock is worth a damn or not.........he only looks at charts which is why some camp followers followed Dana corporation down to the depths of chapter 11. CHARTS RULE according to those who put complete faith in them !

refering to me, OBP? Thanks...I love it when others rub my mistakes in my face.

Don't get your knickers in a twist...........wasn't referring to you. You weren't the only one led down the yellow brick road.

OBP...DCN may turn to a house of pleasure at the rate it's going. I may be able to sell 800 shares for a nice profit in the next week or so. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

I bought Lucent Technology back in the days when it was the darling of Wall Street.........somewhere in the $42 range. I sold it last year for $3.52 I think. Now THAT is face rubber. Can't win 'em all ! When I move to Argentina where the dollar goes three times further than it does here, I may be able to live in a manner in which I would like to become accustomed. A few more Lucents though and it will remain a dream.

Boy that's ugly OBP...
I got one for ya...I had an old friend who has since passed away... I worked for him beginning Sept. 2000, yeah that's right after the bust... well anyway, it seems he was buying stocks like crazy during the boom, his fav, was JDSU, it seems he had bought a ton of ol JDSU at or near 400 bucks ( through his broker Merrill ), we got to know each other pretty well and I advised him to sell, he did'nt... he got sick and unfortunately never recovered... I got to know his sons and I advised his sons to sell, they never did... well it turns out, after his death, his holdings were liquidated... Needless to say... millions were lost. Imagine buying JDSU @ 400 and having to liquidate @ 2 & change...
Well that's my wisdom for the day, it's martini time!

All I can say is NEVER, NEVER, NEVER deviate from a stop loss (which I place within seconds after buying ANYTHING). 8% standard rule...the exception is within a few cents of a support line. Those crafty Market Makers will scoop a dangling stop everytime if it's near support. Also, news and fundamental (verification) after determining buys through technicals is a MUST when looking at short term (swings) plays.

It's hard to "pump" a stock with volume of 2 million plus, however: anything below...say, 100,000 may deserve a wrinkled brow.

My 2 cents (or 2k this week). Luc
