Looks like a sudden bargin again! Everytime news comes out about this russian deal the stock either goes up or down 20%. Has done this several times - see the chart. There's a risky buy now or you can wait for the dust to settle.

I seem to remember having this debate with you the last time it dipped below 2.80. I said it would go above 3.20. You said it would go to 1. I beleive it got as high as 3.60 last week (granted I sold at 3.20 so I can't claim much credit there!) Maybe it will go to 1 one day - but not yet.
It was an easy buy at 2.55 and it's up to 2.70 already. Won't go above 2.80 for a few days but it it will climb back to 3.20 - probably the next time news comes out.

Yeah, I know! I tried to git 3.75 but could only manage 3.70 last week, oooooh well.....guess I better get goin cause it's gonna hit 3.89 based on the 20 minute delay at the paper tradin stock pickers game I bees playin. That 2.13 low should go befo da week is out since da Naz did da BOOOYAH shuffle and broke above "da numba" I mentioned this weekend. Enjoy da carnage! :)

After all, you were all giggly an googly on IMGN and even recommended it as a buy at da tippy top just befo it gapped down for 30% from where you liked it so much!! Of course you still got out with a 6% gain on da pig....according to you of course...but I baleaves ya. :) Anybody that can do dat bees OK witme! *-) :) I'za mo worried bout these udder fokes who doesn't seem to be in as much of a hurry ta get their butts whooped as yu are. :)

Read the statement about the Russian deal. They basically say the contract is delayed pending further review. And if it is still delayed by the end of the week, they are pulling out of the deal.
I jumped in at 2.60.
I'm going to stop/limit sell this at 2.25-3.25. All those against?

GlobeTel Still on Hold
By Seth Jayson (TMF Bent)
March 13, 2006
Unfortunately, today has been a tough day for those investors who believe in GlobeTel (AMEX: GTE). Another missed deadline, another excuse from the penny-stock superstar that promised us WiMax blimps but which is now having trouble delivering the millions of Russian funds it said it would have in hand by now. The market's patience appears to have worn off, and today, the shares have dropped by as much as 30%.
If you're new to the story: GlobeTel recently outlined a deal that would launch it to the head of the pack in Russian wireless Internet and telephony via a partnership with a newly minted Russian company fronted by a man who says he made his fortune in "rare earth minerals." In the abstract, the story you need to believe is that GlobeTel's HotZone "radios" (as CEO Tim Huff described them to me) and technology are superior to what's offered by established Internet and communications companies such as Cisco (Nasdaq: CSCO), Nokia (NYSE: NOK), and Motorola (NYSE: MOT) -- not to mention Russian providers like Vimpelcom (NYSE: VIP) and Mobile Telesystems (NYSE: MBT)
In January, Huff laid out an ambitious timetable, but the company has missed the money mark three times so far. The latest excuse was that the money was pending a bank syndicate's "analysis of this GTE business plan." Before that, it was "internal bank scheduling," which didn't seem to square with the last excuse before that, which was regulatory issues.
I wish I could say this surprised me, but the more I look into this firm, the more nothing shocks me. Months ago, The New York Post's Chris Byron reported on GlobeTel's cozy relationship with a NASD-punished consultant and stock promoter, Paul Taboada. And we saw how GlobeTel promised big things for what turned out to be a near-worthless Australian telecom that was the focus of a massive fraud.
And there's a lot more to wonder about, like some pretty heavy selling over the past year by insiders and large shareholders. Most recently, the COO filed a planned sale of more than 500,000 shares.
Does that sound like the kind of thing you'd do if you knew the company was on the verge of a giant, year-in-the-making Russian WiMax deal? A Russian WiMax deal plus a blimp breakthrough? It sure doesn't to me.
In the meantime, the recent press release doesn't exactly inspire confidence. The closing paragraphs begins, "Should such a funding commitment not be forthcoming by the end of this week, or unless the banking syndicate provides written assurances to GlobeTel of the imminent delivery of such commitment, GlobeTel will have no choice but to exercise its right to default the contract for non-payment."
Looks like we've got a few more days to find out how this all plays out.

Question for you guys watching this one.
At the end of the week:
If the news is good, how high does this go?
If the news is not good, how high does this go?
Is it possible this lingers beyond the end of this week?

Good news could send it up to $4. Bad news and it could end up at $1 although it won't go there straight away.

The gamble pays off. The stock appears to be skyrocketing again on some mediocre-good news.
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 17, 2006--GlobeTel Communications Corp. (AMEX:GTE) today announced that based upon differences between the Company and Internafta on the financing process, the parties have agreed to revise their agreement to more accurately reflect the timing of payments GlobeTel expects to receive for the build out of the 30 city wireless network in Russia and allow Internafta additional time to begin making payments.

Problem is dealing with Russians...not the most secure situation I assure you.
It's a gamble, and not one I'm willing to make at this point. Time will tell.
