Any suggestions regarding GLW - Corning? Sell or Hold
It'll take out the 27+ high before it crashes and burns. Long term it will be a sub $5 stock again though. Still lots of +OBV on the short term chawt so I guess fokes is trying to guage when it will turn higher now that Cramer has all the idiots jumping all over the fiber optic plays. My guess is that there will be a sound thrashing of those who played JDSU, MRVC, GLW, and the rest of Cramer's crap up here at the tippy top of their shorter term cycle. If you look at the general scheme of things when Cramer says to buy something....first examine the 3 year chart of the stock. You will plainly see that 90% of Cramer's picks have already tripled or quadrupled before he figured out it was time to buy. The Cramer ramp puts in a short term top as the dumbest of dumb jump in. then the initial pullback. Then Cramer gets cautious...then a ramp to a double top at which point Cramer gets you back in. Then crash and burn. That will more than likely be the scenario for GLW. Right now the initial top is in and it's in the retracement phase which makes Cramer cautious. He'll say buy agin when it is rising off the low that will be set. That will be the signal that it is time to get out of GLW for good. Just check the natgas sector and CHK in particular to see a good example of a sector that has already completed the topping process. Cramer ramp to a top, pullback, rally....Cramer gets you in and establishes the double top. That sector has now left Cramer confused and many of the stocks are DON'T BUY all of a sudden. That means he wants you to hold until you lose 50%+ of your investment and he finally recognizes they aren't coming back! LOL

Bootimus! Now everyone will get a chance to see it as it is happening. Cramer established the tops and double tops in the homebuilders, energy stocks, retail, semiconductors, internuts....now he is going after the fiber optic sector as he made it one of his focus sectors on last night's Completely Insane Money show. Did you see how he all of a sudden was less favorable to MOT...a stock that he liked alot as a participant in his stoopid tech rally? He once felt the same about MOT as he now does about the fiber optic stocks. This call by Cramer on FNSR, GLW, JDSU, and the others in the sector will be the kiss of death so I want chall ta pay attention. And please! Don't forget to sell these stocks as they approach last week's high as the dance of the idiots begins and fokes jump in based on his bullish call. did you see FNSR in after hour's trading?!! :) The best play in the sector is probably CMGI which is 30%+ off the area where he said to buy it. I wouldn't buy it just yet though. Either wait for Cramer to say sell or wait until it is trading below 1.00. A sell call by Cramer is bullish. That's why i am playing SIRI in this coming week's Stock Picker challenge at the other section of this site. Cramer abandoned that one after getting it wrong for about the 10th consecutive time. Stop trading SIRI, Cramer! But keep giving us your take on da mawkets and individual stocks so we can play em opposite to your call and make some serious mad muny! Oh yeah, Cramer will also be proven wrong about his outlook that a new wave up in da mawkets is beginning...watch! *-)

boo said the same thing a few months ago when GLW was under $20. wrong again, so don't let him hold you back from making money! every stock in the market is crashing to $5 for him. the end of the world is coming!!! get out everybody!!! and for the record, jimbo has been long on MOT since before $17. it is alright to change one's mind btw. even you too boo. you can change, you can do it! go long and try it! coulda doubled your JDSU position by now if you bought when cramer said buy, yet you list that one as another cramer top call. who cares if you're playin' with the houses money!

I gots news for ya...if Cramer hadn't said buy JDSU it wouldn't have doubled! LOL And if Cramer hadn't come out 2 days after N.O. La flooded and said that natural gas prices would hit $20 (when they were already at $17 at the time) CHK would never have hit $40. Now you can hang in there and wait for CHK to see $40 if yawnto...but maybe you'd be better off switchin yer remaining bankroll into GLW. If you do that it won't be long before you are eliminated from da mawkets. I gots news for ya...da mawkets ainna goin nowhere until fokes with "Jim Cramer market savvy" are eliminated completely *-)

I agree with ya BOO; the markets aren't likely going higher (been flat for six years) but perhaps Cramer is just what they need. He could recruit a whole new breed of younger investors. After all, we are in need of a new infusion of capital to get the American markets higher.
I personally don't have much faith in the Naz or NYSE. So much for the "big cap growth rally" that terd Task and everybody else was clamoring on and on about in late 2005. The money is still in the small caps - not BB or PK - but the AMEX; granted the majority of them are crap but the ones that hit outperform their big cap counterparts. Ya gotta trade 'em though as they spike, then crash and burn. Foreign stocks and ADRs look like the place to be to me. What's your take BOO?

Corning has bounced back from the recent telecom downturn with its telecommunications and display technologies business leading the way.
Visibility in both of these businesses is limited and their long-term growth prospects aren't enough to justify the current share price.
