well, if you wanna try to ride the stock prep rally, how about this plan...

you can correlate the day after the show with the stock charts to see what actually did happen with the stocks the day(s) after they were mentioned as bulls.... and bears...

or, if you really wanna play with your money…

1. watch the show that night to see the "bulls" list...
2. place market orders that same night so when the market opens, the orders will be filled.
2. place limit sell orders on those same stocks for like 10% above that nights closing, so they will sell if they hit 10% over.
3. place sell stop orders on those same stocks for like 5% below that nights closing, so they will sell if they drop 5% under…
4. check out the carnage at the closing bell the next day to see what actually happen with that whole brainbuster of a scheme….and place market sell orders to get rid of the stocks you still hold that you don't want anymore…

don't know.. maybe something like that...

If you play it like that, you're going to lose every time! Look at every single one of Cramer's picks.....they open at 15% above the previous day's close, and continue downward to finish about 3-4% up from the previous day's close.....a loser if you buy after Cramer mentions the first two letters in the ticker symbol!

BOOYAHOO help me out here!

I Trade After Hours As The Show Is Aired 6pm To 7 Pm Est, After Hrs Trading Is Allowed Until 8 Pm. I Am Trading Real Time As The Caller Or Cramer Utter The Stock Symbol, I Get The Quote And Enviarably The Stock Has Already Had A Large Increase In Value, So If I Decide To Buy And The Stk Goes Up More I Make Some Profit, But Somebody (who And How) Has Already Got The Highest Profit And I Get A Much Smaller Part.

I hate you people. This is exactly why his show sucks now.

How long is it going to take before you guys realize this is a suckers game?
The stocks which Cramer is going to talk about each evening are sprinkled around the Street during the afternoon and the professional traders are buying the stocks. When you lemmings pile in the pro's sell you the stocks back, and get short. They wait a day or two for the price to collapse, and they buy back their shorts. YOU CAN"T MAKE MONEY AT THIS GAME! IT IS NO THAT SIMPLE!!! HOW COULD YOU POSSIBLY THINK YOU CAN BUY A STOCK UP 10% AND STILL MAKE MONEY ON IT??? STOCKS MIGHT GO UP 10% A YEAR IF YOU ARE LUCKY...SO YOU ARE GIVING AWAY A WHOLE YEAR'S PERFORMANCE WHEN YOU BUY A NAME UP 10% IN ONE DAY. Yikes, would someone please pay attention!!!!

you cant make money buying Cramer's picks...dont even try it. You MIGHT hit one now and then like REDF...but you will loose more than you gain back on that one. Take the advice above...get a job at cnbc...that's your only prayer.

If this is true, then you CAN make money "at this game"

You simply short the Cramer stocks when they "pop" in the morning, get short (like the "pro's") and cover in a few days

I personally, however, have never found it to be all that "easy"

With all the resources handy, you people are willing to either follow Cramer like a rat chasing a flute, or willing to bash him til his head caves in. I could care less about either one, mainly cuz I don't buy his picks. I do buy related, lesser known picks in the same sector.

I really don't care for him. I think his success rate is way overinflated and the hype surrounding him is a bunch of self-made ruckus. It's not that I hate him, or seriously dislike him, because I don't. He's bringing fresh money into the market, and that's what we're all after....someone else's buck!

I do think there's some inside behind-the-scene stuff going on with his show. I think that if the show aired starting at 8 or 9 EST then that would level out the playing field. But like I said, doesn't matter to me.....I don't buy anything that man mentions!

You done hit the nail on the head, I.M. ...
The sole reason Cramer is on is to bring back the new money... Giv'em some shnitzel, then they'll turn into experts in a matter of weeks... Gotta love the newbies! Especially the newbies tradin the penny's... So many " new" experts out there, the College kids are the best...
like I said before... this ain't the World Poker tour, kids

Don't buy into the HYPE! I am a newbie, but did enough research before starting my investment journey to determine, don't buy Cramer stock unless you do research first. I have a FEW Cramer picks, some I had before he mentioned them on his show, and some I have because of his show, but I didn't buy those until after all the craziness that ensues after the show died down substantially, and ONLY if I believe in what the co is doing, NOT because Cramer picked it. Usually what I do is put the Cramer picks I find interesting on my watch list, for me, the watch list gives me invaluable information...you see the picks open in the green green green, and then can watch it close later on the red red red. This is my plan since I am not part of the "in" crowd after hours (luckies!) :P

Haha get a job at cnbc, hmmm maybe that's not such a bad idea...I can do that during my maternity leave lol. push the mop strap the baby on my back and listen up real close.

If you like a stock Cramer is talking about do your homework and if you decide to buy it you can get it cheaper in about10 days. I just did this with VPHM. He made some good points, I researched the stock and put in a limit order. He talked about it at $19.65 the end of February, It jumped over $21. I bought it at $19.30 yesturday.
Be smart and don't bid up the stocks on advice afterhours!

Another thing I noticed, Cramer picks go thru alot of the same buy/sell patterns when he re-mentions them in future shows, like during the lightning rounds. My friend at work watches the show almost every day, so she lets me know when he mentions my stuff again, because I only watch about 1-2x/week.

Yeap moneyman you are right, I had about 2 weeks (aka 10 business days) as the time frame. Sometimes I think 3 is better, but 2 may be better since you don't want to run into problems when he re-mentions the pick and have to start the process all over again!
