I wanted to hear your opinions about why this stock has been underperforming all of the other drillers. It has a lower p/e and a lower peg (than competitors such as GSF), but yet it has been lagging them by so much. http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=NBR&t=6m&l=on&z=m&q=l&c=GSF,RIG,SLB,HAL
^ says it all....Why? Why? It does the same thing as these companies, and is more attractively valued, yet it has been such an underperformer. Today the Oil Service Index was up ~1% but yet NBR was down 1%. Any opinions/info would be greatly appreciated!!

I haven't a clue man, but lean towards agreeing with Zvolen.

I remember when P&G flatlined for nearly a year pending the Gillette deal. After it went through and they were one and the same it jumped up only to slide right back down. Wall Street's rationale: They thought raw costs would hurt their bottom line with all the plastics they consume. Then what happened? They release better than expected cost saving in the Gillette merger and it ramps up again in January. Now it's at $62 from the $53 and a half I bought it at in August. Up nearly 20%.

Furthermore, look at UNH. It's been getting hammered. I gave up all my gains in that one only to finally get out a few weeks ago with a negligable gain. I still believe in the company but I couldn't afford to tie up 1/5 of my portfolio with a stock that Wall St. doesn't like anymore. I may revisit because the thesis remains unchanged.

I'd say dabble in Nabors a bit right here. If it goes up great, if it goes down, average down by buying more. Sometimes you have to ignore Wall St. It's a good company man, and come the summer driving season that sucker will be rockin'. Get in while the gettins good.

GREAT FIND!

This stock has fallen through the 50, 100 Day MAs and its now teetering on the 200 day MA. Its got a strong support trend coming up just under the 200 day MA. I think this may be a buy here!

So I think Im gonna buy some more shares tommorow a few cents above the 200 DMA, as long as oil holds up tonight/tommorow morning (pre-open). Its been at the 200 Day MA for a couple days now, on higher than normal volume, and hasnt broken through. Looks Bullish!! In October It did the same correct and then went to new highs. Thanks for pointing this out, stockbroker, I didnt even notice it!!!!!

craaaaap . I hope oil goes up a little tommorow, but not too much cuz then it will hurt the market which would then hurt my other companies.... I reallly hope it goes back above this line.....

Yeah, kind of a quandry there, I know whatcha mean. If oil goes up maybe gas at da pump goes up too. Then ya lost what ya made in da mawkets at da pumps! Oh well, I'm kinda hopin da homeland security stuff makes a run soon so maybe we can compromise and hope for a terrorist attack on anudder oil facility sumwhere in a foreign land. Make it an Arab country! If we can get those guys ta kill each other off then there will be less terrorists ta worry about in da foist place! That's what I'm thinkin anyway. sounds good to me. I got an idea, let's start a war in a Middle Eastern country with a lot of oil and a dictator (pick one), and let's overthrow him so we look like good guys, and then let's give control of the country to the majority sect who were butchered for decades by the minority sect, and then let's grossly underestimate the tension between these sects that has been in existance since the beginning of the religion, and we watch them fight it out until they annilihate each other, and then we get ALL the OIL!! Didn't anyone think of that?!
