Oversold stock. Wait for price to go above MA(200). Wait for the pullback to MA(200). If it holds (see what OWENQ did today), buy it and play the bounce. It may go as low as $3.40 today, but just watch that MA(200) on the 1 minute chart

I hope you dont mind all of the questions. I saw your post on owenq where you said the MA(200) was $1.48. I guess I am missing something but I can not seem to find one single source that says that. The MA (200) on the 1 minute chart on scottrade is way over that. The same holds true for NAVR. On my chart it is WAY up in the ionosphere. I know I am missing something here and if you could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

I have real time charting and quotes from Prophet.net
NAVR MA(200) is $3.71
I"m getting ready to pull the trigger. It's holding at MA(200)

SEC asks Navarre for documents
Tuesday February 21, 12:05 pm ET
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has requested that Navarre Corp. provide documents for an informal inquiry, the company said Tuesday.
The SEC on Friday asked for various documents relating to Navarre's financial statements, including certain documents related to its recent restatements of previously issued financial results.
New Hope-based Navarre (Nasdaq: NAVR - News), which publishes and distributes home entertainment and multimedia software products, said it plans to cooperate fully with the SEC's request.
Suppose this is the reason for the sudden drop?

That's why I buy based on technicals. I can screen for oversold stocks and play the bounce. Look at what OWENQ, LOUD and NAVR are doing.

Chart Guru, what's your entry point for BMD. I've traded in and out of the stock a couple times before and made some good money.

Well I'm skeerd to play companies with bankruptcy and SEC investigations looming, but you do seem to be on fire lately. http://www.cramersmadmoney.com/images/icons/icon14.gif

My entry point is when the price goes above the MA(200) then pulls back to the MA(200), in the 1 minute chart, then bounces. Look what happened when OWENQ and NAVR crossed above the MA(200) in the 1 minute chart today.

Congrats, Guru...Ive been watching since you first posted. Impressive to see and happy for your gain.
I dont have the knowledge yet nor the charting service yet, so I cant read the ma(200) on BMD, but its intriguing to follow.
Whats your re-entry price in NAVR?
good luck...again!

Mad Girl, I don't like to use "price" targets. I like to use Moving Averages to determine what a stock will do. The MA(200) in the 1 minute chart is very powerful. BMD touched it and I was ready to buy if it broke out and pulled back, but it went down further. NAVR took off once it broke out of the MA(500) in the 1 minute, so I'm looking for a pull back to the MA(200) or (500), maybe around the $3.85'sh

To the Chart Guru.....I must admit, I was skeptical for a while. I was not
a great believer in charts but you have changed my outlook. I have now
become a convert !
Thanks for your advice......to which I shall certainly pay more attention.

Ok, thank you, Guru...I think I may just have to spend the $$ and get me a good stock charting service so I can learn.
Your calls on LOUD, OWENQ were nifty...even if there was a "Q" in one of 'em.

The object is to make money, regardless if there is a "Q" or whatever in a stock's symbol! The key is to have a crystal ball to know when to buy and sell. I have given my entry technique that works wonders..THE MA(200) in the 1 minute chart. 'Nuff said. I alert the forum with my picks, then use proper entries and exits. Mad girl, if you are going to be serious about trading, you need the fire power. I have an Interactive Brokers account, I use Prophet.net for real time charting and I use Stockfetcher for my screening. That's it. I spend $41 a month and I make that many times over in one trade alone. Go over to Barnes and Nobles on Kendall Drive this weekend and read Toni Turner's book on swing trading and her book on day trading if you wish, so you can get a feel for what to look for in charts. That's your homework for this weekend. No partying in South Beach!

funny you mentioned that book TCG. Just bought it at the campus bookstore last week. haha.
Mad Girl,
Your brokerage should have real time charting software. Ameritrade does. Who is your broker?

My broker is Scottrade. I thought the charting was GREAT at first. Compared to Prophet it's junk. Prophet is what you need Mad Girl and you need stockfetcher for screening like Guru said. Those samples I sent you were from stockfetcher and prophet. No way can you get that level of charting with Scottrade. I cant speak for the other brokers though. I'f you're gonna hunt for stocks you need them. Again...just my opinion.
I just started using stockfetcher. Very useful so far. Ameritrades charting isn't bad. It has lot of what Guru and the rest talk about here. I'll take prophet out for a spin this wknd to see what's going on over there.
