i am relativly a noob when it comes to the stock market. I have invested $1000 into a few penny stocks wellstone filters(wlsf) and starcore res(sam.v) i know intevesting in penny stocks are of high risks, but just wondering if anyone knows of some good stocks to invest in preferably under $5. thanks ben

VNGM.OB Vanguard Minerals Corp. It's trading at .32 right now, if it breaks the .37 mark I'm looking to buy.

Well, since you're willing to take some risk, I would suggest Polymet (ticker: PLM), it's last trade was at $3.97. It's a Canadian company that is getting ready to mine copper in Northern Minnesota.

I update the thread occasionally. Basically, they are waiting for the state of Minnesota to complete the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), then theres a period for the public to comment etc - and in probably within a year they should begin mining.
It's a speculative play, because if the EIS doesn't go through...well, that's probably the ball game. But they're a good company, with very good management. I believe the overall sentiment is good and that its only a matter of time.
If and when the EIS is completed, PLM is going to shoot north - but again, it's risky.
