I bought another 3000 this morning. I shouldn't be hard for it to see 0.35 but it seems to have stalled a bit. Maybe needs some news to come in to get the volume going again. A little patience i think is required.

i agree - it has taken a rest the past couple trading days. maybe a fresh start to the week on monday will pump it higher. i still think $0.40 by the end of the week.

I was considering selling only because this stock was boring me, then I decided to buy more. If they go up I ride, if they go down I sell. I hate the slowww movers but I'll wait another week on this one.

i just brought more, 2000 shares. any news?
is the market giving up on POGI?

I still think it has the opportunity to get up above 0.35 but the problem is that when these penny stocks rest they look like major pullbacks in terms off percentages. It's crossing it MA10 now at 0.255 so find it hard to believe it can go lower. The trend is still upward.
I think you are right. I am actually thinking of picking up a few thousands today.

Does this have more potential than DWOG this week?

Sorry guys, i punched out of POGI. I brought some HOT HOT silver stocks (SLW and DEZ). BTW, did you see DOIG volume today? 8.1 million.. WOW

01-31-2006, 12:06 AM
That was nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now i need the other DWOG to run and BSKO needs to get going too. Navy i was trying to buy POGI at .25 but had to pay .255 was that yours that i bought. I think DWOG will run just like DOIG did as they are all up their in the Fort McMurray area. CWPC DOIG DWOG POGI all in the same area and all look good l/t imo. UPDA great l/t play too watch this one for takeoff. Good luck as oil and silver go higher

China, i think you brought my shares.
I just did an re-org on my portfolio, and i have the following stocks. I finally developed an effective strategy. I try to pick stocks before Cramer hypes them up on his show. I try to make a killing when he sends his followers to the stocks that I have already have equity. example: look at GG aftermarket numbers hmmmm........

SLW
CLLZF
CWPC
DOIG

You have some great ones imo. I sold a little more cwpc today and bought UCPI at 1.64 and it looks to run. I also picked up more DWOG at 2.10

So, how do you do that? I have been trying to guess his picks for a while now.

OPEC said they will sustain output. It was a pretty short meeting at that which led Wall St. to believe that they wish to keep oil ow due to worries demand might fall off if it goes any higher.
I wouldn't worry my man. It's oil. All you need is time. No mater what you bought it at, if you sit tight and wait it'll at least get back to your cost basis.
G'luck.

I'm growing board with this stock but I tend to agree it should go up in the near future. I may by more just to average my cost.

i think CWPC and CLLZF are better play than this stock. Also, i think Cramer will start talking about the oilsand stocks within the next two weeks.... Just be ready

Sure he'll talk about oil sands but he isn't gonna mention these suckers on the pink sheets and bulletin boards. You might get some pin action but not a direct recommendation.

Yeah - I'm surprised Cramer hasn't spent time on the oil sands recently. I think it mentoned it sometime last year. I'm really liking these at the moment. SU is like the worlds greatet stock! Might get some some BMD tomorrow morning.
Anyway - i agee - oil is all good. But POGI is being rather annoying.

I think Cramer is prob buying these oil sand stocks as we speak, and he will pump them up when he is well established.
Any comments on the Feds raising the interest rates and the effects on silver and gold.

You can checkout kitco.com for PM prices.
Right now PMs are down overseas, but Silver has come backup to just under a penny where it closed in NYC.
Geneal feeling is a strong PM bull market right now, if dollar weakens and oil goes higher should help the PMs.
I have been in SLW since the end of Nov and I am closing in on a 50% gain.
SLW hasnt had a pullback in several days.

I wish I would've jumped on SU when it pullback to $72. I've watched it for a while now, but I am hearing all kinds of buzz about this company from Jon Q. Public invstor. I think everyone but me must be in this thing ow and that makes me worry it's at the top.
BTW, since this post was initially about penny stock oil sands; how much money are ou guys throwing at these things? I miht finally be at the point where I'm willing to take the risk. Do you just do a couple hundred at a time or do you calculate it as a percentage of your portfolio? If so, what is the percentage? Just trying to get a feel for what the general consensus is on risk. Thanks in advance

i just started investing this past jan with some of my play money. I invested about $8,800 on my portfolio. So far in the two weeks of investing, I am up to $9,700. I play the oil sands, silver, and gold stocks. Most of my advice comes from chinaman, englishman, and madcow, and my own homework.

MadCow,
I use just a few thousand dollars of mad money for the pennies. A lot of them are purely spec. buys since they are not cash flow positive, and such.
For a company that is well established in it's field (like the oil sands), and the industry is not new to the world (like stem cell research) I hit it a little harder.
Still if volume is light things can get very volatile so use something to limit your losses. You can always get back in later.

I'm new here...new to penny stocks also. I've been checking out the site for a few weeks. When you guys invest in these penny stocks, with small volume, don't you worry about being able to get out if it does shoot up? Seems like it could pop up and then drop down without getting your order filled

POGI picked up some volume after 3:00pm today. Somebody was buying/selling heavy from that time till close.
I thought about picking some more up and changed my mind. Lots of excitement but the stock goes down (at the moment).
It was a good day to buy.

You sure do like those China stocks ??
I have a soft spot for NWD as I think they have a great business and all those folks gotta eat. With rising prices over there they will be eating more and more inexpensive dinners.
IMO.

My target for the little POGI is still the same eg. 0.33. As I doubled down though I might lower my exposure when it recovers to parity in case I have to double down again before it gets to its target. We'll have to keep an eye on him. He's not been behaving of late. But he looked a bit more obedient by the end of the day today. Oil at a 3 week low isn't going to hold for long! "Up you go pogi, come on!"

This may or may not be a Hot stock tip.
I called the IR for CWPC today. They expected to put out some good news next Tuesday or Wednesday. They are in the process of applying for trade on AMEX. The company should be sending off the application within a couple of weeks, and it will take about 2-3 months for a determination. According to the IR, the company have drilled 5 holes.

The big boys at cwpc were in nyc a week ago and many wonder why they were there. I guess we will find out soon but my guess is they were talking to wall street trying to get the word out about what is going on in the canadian oil sands. I would not be surprised to see them try and raise money again as this is going to be a huge project for them. Long term it looks great and i hope to get back in but right now i have a few hot chinese stocks i need to play. Good luck

POGI is a good long term play on the canadian oil sands imo. Its just like the rest of them up and down like a yo yo and you better have a strong stomach to play the oil sands stocks or just buy a little and put them away for years. CWPC the best of the small ones imo and soon to be listed on the amex. DWOG not as good but for now they are sitting on over 800 mil barrels of oil and looking for more. DOIG has had a great run too and looks to go higher but it has had a huge run. MSEV at .07 traded over 11 mil shares friday could be one to watch next week. POGI only traded 381k shares friday looks like it is just taking a rest and who knows when the next run will start. Good luck and watch some of the chinese stocks next week too.
