Funny how things shake out. I have really brought the forum down with my contest with Marykay. My posts have been arrogant and foolish. I have dragged my Qi down and I am not acting in a healthy manner.

I am going to take a little time to remember what it was I enjoyed about this place. I'll see everyone in a few months. Best of luck.

But come back.

You are, in essence, a great force for good. There is no reason that an ill-conceived contest should nullify that force. To have that happen would give power to the forces of [trading] darkness that is far beyond what they can muster on their own.

On a personal note:
You are the reason I joined this forum. Your capacity to give to others, to share your knowledge, is a tremendous resource for the OTF.
Again, take the time you need.
When you come back, I plan to be here to welcome you.
I'm sure I won't be alone.

with great respect, Net

No aiki! You can't leave! I'll miss you too much. We all do something we regret sometimes, but we don't look back at them.

You've been all things to all people, sometimes in a negative way, which is what they want. This makes my point. I know what you mean about Qi or Chi but what you have done is validate that it is strong by facing it directly. I think it's a breakthrough.

Well, I hardly read or post much off trading topics, but net told me about this post and your decision.

I agree with net , take all the time you want (not more than couple of days j/k) . But be back here asap...its jus some contest..

I think everyone will feel the same too...

I'm also having the same feeling, with all the new faces coming on board. Some with great personalities and eager to learn and trade, but most just spam the boards with stupid stock scams/services and bring unnecessary stuff to the forum. I liked it when it was a smaller community and knew everyone around and was able to talk to one another like neighbors. The chatroom doesn't feel the same anymore with usually 50%+ new faces. I also will come back when things have calmed down a bit, maybe now and then I'll drop in the chatroom if any of the regulars still hang in there. I would never want to lose contact with any of the great members here including chinaman711, aiki, netwrangler, microhedge, reef, tonym, lucigrunt, dadooh, fire, AJ, bdawg, and many others.

The forum is gathering many new members and growing rapidly, I'm glad for Thierry. Great job and building an excellent website! :)

F*** That! Dont let that crap drag you down man. Your advice and wisdom have helped so many people here. Do what you got to do but my advice is to just ignore the losers like that MaryKay crossdressing he/she hermaphrodite. He/she/it may win the little contest but your point is more than proven that the service isnt what it advertises. You still need to know when to get in and to get out when purchasing stocks.

Honestly, I dont click on the threads for the stock picking scams like the Marl program, except to see the little competition thread. I check out the threads made by members who I am familiar with and go from there.

:cheers:Drink and be merry, finish the bottle and **** the rest.

I really hope that you are able to put that bizarre contest into perspective and see that it wasn't nearly as important as the many positive contributions you make to this forum on a daily basis. Your absence will cause more grief than that contest ever did. Anyway, I certainly understand why you feel a need for a break. Just remember you will be missed here, and we won't forget you, please don't forget about us.

its kind of funny that last night when I was getting ready for bed, I was thinking about this forum compared to others I joined...related to cars, dogs, playstation 3, etc.

I was comparing OTF to the others, and was so thankful for how much knowledge is shared within this forum. It is easily the beneficial forum I have joined.

The whole point of a forum is to spread & gain knowledge about a related topic, and this forum does that very well. Most others I am in, do the same, but there is a lot of flaming and posts just to "show off". Which is 1 main reason why I really visit this site often, because of members like Aiki and C-man, that have an in-depth knowledge of the stock market, and enjoy sharing their opinion and knowledge that they have gained through the years.

If you need a break, you deserve it, but by all means, come back quickly! Theres money we need to make!!!!

I have an unused forum w/chat that is private (only those I let in).

It's a Delphi Plus forum.

You can also start your own for free or pay up to Plus.

There already is a traders forum there too but it isn't private.

PM me for info.
