Is there a way to see the performance of Actionalertplus, Jim Cramer's fund for charity? Monthly performance? Yearly?
Thanks

I am amazed it's even close to 9% that would be 12pts of alpha vs the dow. Are you sure about that?

I thought his SHLD call was one of his biggest disasters.

ill have to look it up again but i know his cost average was somewhere in the low 70s.. but i can see where the confusion is because he was stll telling people to buy over 100
by the way thats going to the end of 07.. doesnt include jan and feb of 08. ill double check on it tomorrow but it was something like 8.6%

actually i noticed that some of the positions were held for years... so it kind of screwed with the percentage changes... i noticed he had some holdings for 4+ years
if you want to know how his opened/closed trades of 2007 performed... he was -1.73%
for 2008.. hes getting crushed.. his worst holdings that were recently sold were C and SGP which he bought in 2007 and sold in january.. in total he lost $140k on those 2 transactions alone!

its funny because im scanning through his trades and noticing hes being more aggressive making bigger trades... even noticed he did a small day trade making 4% (only about $2k in profit)
but for trades closed in 2008... he's down a whopping -18.26%
down $148k using $814k capital

I just want to add that Jim Cramer is a great investor, he is very very limited to what he can do with his Charitable account. I'm very confident that if he could invest using all the strategies that he did when he was in Hedge Funds he would be making 30%+ for himself or his trust fund.
But since the common man has to be able to follow his trades it makes it difficult and he has a set of rules that he follows so he's not daytrading or using complicated (read smart) strategies.
