I have a wife and two daughters, if some 2 bit country was attempting to attack us financially, I wouldn't notice any difference unless they manipulated the prices at Urban Outfitters.

When you borrow a couple hundred billion a year more than you have, an run up a credit card bill of $8 trillion, with no hope whatsoever of possibly paying it down except to devalue the US dollar to nothing, then you can't be surprised to see oil and gold and food and everything else soaring in price.


If you look at how much the price of oil has risen in the past 6 years, you'll find that most of its gains have come in terms of US dollars


For Canadians (to use an example) a gallon of gas now isn't all that much more than it was in 2000 or 2001
