Albert -

I think investing in FXP is too risky honestly. If the Chinese market has a few good days, this stock gets killed and it's hard to recover.

I was considering investing in FXP about a month ago when I heard that the Chinese gov't was freezing bank lending. At that time, the stock was at ~$90. Now the stock is at $75 (down roughly 17% from the time I saw it) and this is after a month of crappy Chinese performance.

Thanks for the input, but as for quick trades go...we're good for tomorrow it looks like. Hang Seng just opened 300pts down.

I wouldn't necessarily invest in FXP...hardly an investment. Best to trade it as it goes :)

The chart for NM, below, is clearly similar in overall shape to the one on DRYS Albert0373 posted.
That would figure, given the two companies are in the same sector.

Comparing the two, seems to me DRYS has a lower PE than does NM, but the DRYS PE may reflect a more leveraged, and therefore riskier capital structure.

DRYS certainly does look setup for a bounce. That said, I lean towards NM as better able to ride out any business slowdown in 2008. Comments?

:D Was looking at it as a long candidate too last night, had a great time swing-trading NM in the past successfully.

Best to keep on your toes when trading FXP, more of an intraday candidate than one to hold overnight. Markets as of now looks for a green open.

One pick I also like to add is CHINA, I have a position in that too that I bought on Monday and shared it in the chatroom.
