Hello, I am not trading yet but am trying to learn as much as possible before I do. Does this stock dcff look like it would be easy to buy and sell. I will of course be trading these types of penny stocks. It looks like it would be easy to me but I really know very little. Thanks for any help

This looks like a good example of a pump and dump in midstream. Look at the volume and note where the pumpers all got in, look at the volume now...waiting for fresh blood and someone to sell to.

Tooldin, I think you know more than you think. I believe you have picked a winner.
Great first post by the way.
I think you should buy (obviously, it's got potential) and post your position size, entry price, and time purchased. It would be a great place to start on this forum.
Looking forward to your second post with trade data. 8)

You forgot the benevolent angle; he's not trading yet, just trying to learn. Just an innocent newbie that stumbled onto a 300% gainer.

If he does......welcome!I'll take that bet.
Actually, if the stakes are high enough, I can guarantee that second post will be there...one way or another.

At the full .03 trading on today's volume, only $119,609.70 changed hands... wow, that's alot of money:oops:, but looking at the chart only about $79k was in play. Considering previous charts of about $3600 a day action, I guess that's an improvement:wink:
I'm with you Luc1, don't think Toolboy will be back but hey... I've been away, needed to get a few posts under my belt

Thanks for the info guys. I have come across many like that in the past but like I said I don't even trade yet, I am just trying to learn LOL I am just wondering what is a good sign to know if I should be able to sell easily if I purchase a stock. My friend trades and got stuck with a bunch from fdke no matter what it seemed he couldn't get ride of it :( I like this forum and I think I could learn alot on here. I would like to be able to turn $500.00 in $15,000 as soon as possible. I hope to start trading around febuary or march.

Good luck with the $500 to $15,000 Tooldini, should be pretty easy.

Jeff, Let me know how that works out for you.
As an aside to Jeff and anyone else who is new to the game, turning 500 into 15k is a pipedream. That would be 5 doubles or 38 10% trades assuming zero commissions and zero losing trades. That is statistically worse than taking your 500 and putting it on double zero on a roulette wheel (38 to 1). In fact with market forces in play and advance decline ratios at 50/50, and the average beta less than 2, the odds of 5 doubles in a row are well below 100 to 1, and probably worse than 1000 to 1.
Anyone who thinks they can do this, go ahead and post 2 doubles or 5 10% trades in a row, with no losses. I bet you can't. I've been in this game a while and put in 10 hours every day in it and I wouldn't bet on myself, but heck you're probably way smarter than me, and there are 14 hours in the day I don't use, so you can do it. Can't you?
Frankly, no you can't. Reality check coming, light at end of tunnel is oncoming train folks.
People who come into this game with this kind of thinking have a name among professionals, we call them contributors. When we're enjoying a single malt and a $20 cigar it is they whom we are toasting.

thanks for the ecouragement aiki14 but I think you may have thought I was talking about investing in 1 stock then hoping to get 15k from 500 LOL that is totally not likely ever. although in august when my friend told me about zipl I would have came close to turning 500 into 15k. I was thinking more like investing in different ones and making a 100.00 here and there daily. I just say 15k to have something to shoot for and I do think that is possible.

I think it just was the fact that at that point it was up very high. It went from around .01 to about .04 so that was a nice increase don't think anyone on here owned any though. I am just trying to learn as much as possible on here. nobody seemed to offer any help for today though :(

Since you are trying to learn, let me ask you this: What do you think about the volume of that pinkie?
tooldini
12-06-2007, 12:56 PM
Well it does seem very low. What is a good volume? 100K plus or 1 mil
and thanks for helping

can't really say what is "good " volume, but remember, you have to be able to unload the thing without crushing the price. And what if others holding many shares unload? I can't teach pennies, I don't play them, but if you can buy the entire day's volume with 50k, that is a bit sick. Prepare to be a victim. Good luck.

I see what your saying,, I think it would be best to stay away from very low volume stocks like this. Thanks for the help it makes sense to me.

Volume question for you guys and gals. If a stock says volume 2,281,013 and average volume of 359,866 what exactly does average volume mean. I am stilling interested in DCFF and would have liked to buy some Friday afternoon. I seen this morning it was up from .0085 to .016 . So again would this have been one I could have purchased and sold pretty easily?
thanks
Jeff
