While philosophically for the death penalty (which I would exact myself if a member of my family were a victim), I am against the death penalty as it is currently applied here in the states. The race of the perpetrator clearly influences the outcome as non whites are statistically way over represented on death row. Additional evidence from The Innocence Project and other sources indicates the possibility of innocent individuals being put to death, or awaiting execution. Juries made up of folks incapable of understanding complicated scientific evidence add to the problem.
Until these concerns are worked out to my satisfaction I will be against the state executing anyone.

I think you're confusing black with african american, I believe he is of Indian descent, but still would be labeled black by any redneck in good standing with the kkk.
