I have reset the trading simulator for September - 1st prize prize is a great trading book. The first prize winner will also have his win displayed under his name in the forum.

If you are new to the simulator, you can join at anytime. This thread will be used to discuss the game and post updates on the standings.

You start with $100,000 and you can trade stocks long or short. You can only trade stocks above $2.00. Whoever has the highest amount at the close of trading on Wednesday, September 30, 2009, wins.

Is there a rule as to the minimum number of trades you need to make to qualify I don't think its to fair if you make one big trade and sit on it. Can we make like a 10 or 20 trade minimum or is that already a rule. Thanks for your response to this. :)

There is no trade number minimum in the rules.

In some markets sitting on a stock or cash is the right thing to do. I don't see any reason to require a minimum number of trades. Any other thoughts on this?

Agreed. Try and keep it as close to a simulation as possible. Some of the best traders out there, focus investors, don't trade that much at all. Maybe this is something we can all learn from.
