There doesn't seem as many bargains this year. Retailers have much lower inventories this year, so there won't be as many crazy discounts.
One great deal on black friday is the Sandisk Clip 2 Gig MP3 player that Best Buy is selling for $35.00. I own one and it is great. It's a mp3 player/fm radio and voice recorder. It sounds great.

Where do you live? The average gas price is $3.00 a gallon in the USA. Even $4 gas wouldn't stop Americans from shopping. :)

And Sony executives are saying this might be their best Christmas ever for electronic sales in the USA.

My advice: buy BBY on dips.

In the short term, no shopping plans will change because of a $.50 change in the price of gasoline. In the longer term, folks will change the way they commute [car pool - public trans - work at home], change the car they drive, change their work location, and/or change their home location.
So....change by Thanksgiving? Well, some, perhaps a little, but definitely not all of the changes you can expect to see in the future.

If that's so...I'll have to resort to my Kawasaki full-time.

My daughter dated a guy who rode a Kawasaki Ninja. He was cool, but the bike was scary.
It took all I could do as a "cool" Dad to NOT to cycle out. [I mean, she was 23 years old, and had her own life.]
Later, after she married another guy, I asked her about the Kawasaki. All she would say was, "Yes, that was a scary ride!"
She and her husband have two sons now. She is so much the Mom. I figure I never need to know the details about the Kawasaki guy.

Shoppers really do love sales. Just be careful if you decide to go shopping on black friday. Stampedes have happened in the past.

Another good deal is from Target. They are selling a 500 GB Western Digital external hard drive for $87.00. That's a good deal. External hard drives are much nicer to back up important files than CDs/DVDs.
