A good start would be to actually READ many of the threads in this forum and branch out from there. There is NO substitute for putting in the time.
I signed up for ZACKs but gave a false phone number, (I felt they were the type to bug the heck out of people with high pressure sales) It wasn't two weeks and I got some agressive emails saying they were trying to call me and to get ahold of them right away. Then the emails became VERY VERY agressive, one letter actually stated that call me or its evident you don't want to make money ! Maybe they're great, I will never know until someone else posts their experience. Just by their add's I knew they would be the type to call and call a free subscriber. I feel the site/letter should speak for itself and it shouldn't need a salesman. Besides, they saying all this 220% claims made me leary.
Another I used is Investors Buisness Daily. It offered more than what I was ready to use. Maybe in the next six months I may subscribe again, I have too many books yet to read.
Oh, the Street, whtn I first started I was into it, but I get confused when Cramer says to buy but his Stockpickr.com site says to sell!! What do you listen too? LOL

Fred Hager is a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It doesn't get voted #1 year after year.... read the home page, there is enough information there to scare the crap out of you!
I tend to agree with Microhedge concerining the front page, its hard for me to believe these statements, especially after todays drop in my stocks <F>
This is the type of self proclaimed stuff I was leary of with ZACKS,really out of this world claims. If they were true then why are the so agressive calling me, emailing me numerous times with very agressive emails? They certain don't need my money to pay for their over priced product..
I Like the Getfolio one, they claim 28% which is believeable. I REALLY like their statement concerining their two main goals:
"""two goals in mind- avoiding significant drawdown and sleeping well at night""
Thierry, I'm not bashing here, I don't know anything about the Hager, I'm just agreeing with Micro that the front page looks too promising with no proof. Hager is better than everyone on Mad and Fast Money according to their claims. .

Thank you, but not my main point.
Re-read the homepage, slowly and in detail, bearing in mind this is November 9th, 2007

I think a click on stock trading robot is in order, don't you?
Or just pick a link on this site....there's really no need to bother with a bogus first post is there?
Or is there?

Just calling BS to the whole thread....plan, shill, shuck, etc.
What are you afraid of?
A little defensive?
You know I don't trade this garbage and you know I really hate to see folks get sucked into the septic......but there's one born every minute.
Stock robot is a sponsor...don't forget.

Luc1Grunt, that post was real. I hope you never become a judge, or people will be in trouble for crimes they never committed!

I'm going to prepare a new skin for the registered users to choose if they prefer - then those offended can view the site ad-free. Should be ready in a week.

Just realized that this is the Under $2.00 forum, and those newsletters I recommended are not penny stock newsletters. I goofed, sorry about that.

Luc1Grunt, that post was real. I hope you never become a judge, or people will be in trouble for crimes they never committed!Thierry, let me first commend you on the forum that you run. I enjoy the rough and tumble, and often incisive posts on this forum.
That said, I think the issue in this thread is not only whether there was impropriety, but whether there was the appearance of impropriety. In my view [and without presuming to speak for Luc1Grunt] I thought that Grunt believed the timing of the original post and the timing of your reply was a little too precious to be real.
You have told us that the post was real, and I am willing to accept that. But even so, you were very quick on the trigger to mention forum sponsors. Should you mention them? Well, of course, but in the fullness of time. But when you cite them in the first response to a post, you create an appearance of impropriety.
Point is, you don't need to do that. You could count to three [days] and then post that response. The thread, your sponsors, and your forum would be thus better served.
Hey maybe I've missed the point entirely. I've been wrong before. I'll be wrong again.
But the OP and your quick response seem to me to be half-a-bubble off plumb. I apologize if I am wrong. Still, as my funny carpool mate once explained to be:
Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get me.
