Am I the only person that has delivery problems with UPS? I mail order at least a dozen items a year. The only time I have delivery problems is when the shipper is UPS. Fed X and the U.S.P.S. both do an excllent job. They always deliver.
Every time the shipper uses UPS I end up with a note on my door that they attempted to deliver at at any given time during my work day. The last shipment, the shipper instructed UPS to leave the package at the door. Well 2 sticky notes later and 4 long distance phone calls and the next week I still do not have my package. I have come to the conclusion that if the people I purchase from use UPS only, I will opt not to place an order with them.
I have even attempted to have it delivered to my work address which is on a military base. They never find the right building. This is a street, building number and zip code just like off base addresess. The last package was delivered to a High security area. That one took an additional week to get possesion of after the orginal delivery there!
I have followed up and notified the company I made my last purchase from of UPSs poor performance. I was lucky to speak with the same person that I had placed my order with this afternoon and explained the situation to her. She was going to call UPS and also send it up her chain of cammand a need for an alternate shipping service. She actually rememberd placeing a special note on delivery instructions to " Leave Package at Door".
Has any one else experinced this with UPS. Any that are experancing the same problems that I am : I encourage you to call the company that sold you the product and let them know your experance on your end. This is the only way they will know how their customers receiving shipment service is.
