I got killed by CFC today and I'm completely convinced that they are full of s**t with their guidance today. They seem to be trying to pick a bottom in the housing market about . . . ooo . . . 5 years early!!

Trying to follow forum leaders luc1grunt, the englishman, albert et al. "Into The Great Wide Open" of TA.
So, I went out and got me a chart:

Near as I can tell:

The RSI might be getting ready to cross 50
The MACD might be turning around
The per share price might be about to cross the MA(50)

But then again, maybe not.
I'm going to have to submit my guess...uh, strike that...my selection before the chart is going to help me.

So...my scenario is:

UBS will open lower Monday reacting to Fitch's downgrading of CDO ratings.
The Wednesday earnings report will either be pleasantly upbeat, or, at worst contain write-downs that trigger a 'thank heavens that's over' rally.
The FED does something good for us.
Come Friday I'm King of the World!

Unfortunately, I can construct down scenarios just as easily.

UBS is currently near the top of its historical volatility range. With all the news on the horizon, and if option prices don't make it too expensive, a long strangle might be the real trade here.
