DayStar Technologies' Public Offering of 15 Million Shares Prices at $4.25 Per Share

HALFMOON, N.Y. (AP) -- DayStar Technologies Inc., a maker of energy-generating and storing devices, said Friday its public offering of 15 million shares of common stock has priced at $4.25 per share, for total proceeds of about $63.8 million.
DayStar has granted the underwriters the option to buy up to about 2.3 million additional shares to cover any over allotments.

The company plans to use proceeds from the offering to repay in full $9.2 million in debt from borrowed funds and to engineer and manufacture a deposition tool. The remaining net proceeds will be used for the construction of a manufacturing line, working capital and general corporate purposes, DayStar said.

ThinkEquity Partners LLC acted as lead manager of the offering. Broadpoint Capital also served as an underwriter.

DayStar shares rose 5 cents to $4.70 in morning trading.

I was suprised to see Monday's runners didn't have any of Cramer's picks based off of the fed meeting this Wednesday. NLY, FMC, RIG.

As always, is any news priced into the stock already? Was all the bad news about housing and some financials imploding (Merril) last week has the street think Wednesday will be a cut running things up this last friday?

DSTIZ is a warrant which is like a call option. It gives you the right to buy dsti at $10 and is good until 2-9-09. imo the warrants are over priced right now which usually means a run is coming in dsti. You can trade dstiz just like a stock which imo is the way to go. Right now dsti is the better play imo. Hope this helps and good luck.
