Cramer doesnt like this one, but I personally disagree with him. They have established shelf space at several retailers and signed some large government and educational contracts recently...any thoughts on this company?

Gateway is looking bad right now. They are loosing lots of money. Until they start to straighten out their finances, I'd stay away.

If you want to buy a computer stock, I'd look at DELL, which lost a lot today but still looks strong into the future, or better yet, Hewlett-Packard (HPQ). HPQ is doing very well and in the process of cutting a lot of fat. IMHO, I think HPQ will be the better play in the next 1 -2 years. Do your homework!

I like Gateway personally. I purchased mine from Costco. I first bought a HP and HP printer. The computer was defective. When I called the 800 help the people where short and basically turned me off. I returned it to Costco and picked up the Gateway. When I called the 800help (had a question) they were unbelievable. Excellent customer service. I also had to return my HP printer, Microsoft said the software was having glitches being compatable. When I buy a stock I need to trust the company first of all, and I definately trust Gateway.

I see Cramer jumped on the HPQ bandwagon now as well. He was bearish on this one a few weeks ago but his tune has changed. He must be reading this board  Seriously, I think there is a good chance HPQ could see 50+ within the next two years. We'll see what happens.

I also saw the news that Gateway finally posted a profit again - this is good news. I think it will take some time, but if they can continue to turn their finances around like they did recently, Gateway may be a good play in a year or so. These things take some time, but it will be worth watching.
