For 25 years I have been a boring, dollar cost averaging, index fund investor. It has served me very, very well. 99% of my money will continue to be invested in this manner.
Recently, in the last year or so, I have become interested in penny stocks. I have always read and believed that most pennies are headed to zero. Although I continue to believe this for the most part, I also have discovered that money can be made if I am carefull and do not get greedy. This is totally against my nature. I have never been in a casino, or purchased a lottery ticket in my life. I am certainly not a big risk taker.
In the last year, however, I have bought 5 penny stocks that have been suggested by a specific stock site. At this time, I will not name the site because I do not want anyone to think that I am pushing it, or the person running it. I watched the first stock that i bought nearly triple, held it, and watched it fall off of the end of the earth. That was my $2000 education.
I invested between $2000 and $4000 in stocks 2-5, all a couple of months apart. Each one, I set a specific exit point and I doubled my money in each one. $11,000 gain in the last 9 months or so. Actually $9000. I convienently left out my $2000 education.
Here is my question. Have I just been one lucky SOB, or are there other sites or ways that I can discover other pennies?
I am fully aware that the site I recieve my emails from is probably a pump and dump scheme.
I really don't care.
I ran across this forum a couple of weeks ago and would be interested in any suggestions or helpfull hints.

Thanks All,

I'm sure a "LINK" will be coming our way soon......;)

But for now, maybe try stockfetcher to catch the pennies displaying the traits you want?

If you've made what you claim....why change?

Lake are you a dayer now or just trading?

Pennies are hazardous to your health if you're not a FT dayer8O

If you know what you're lookin at, P&D's can be huge moneymakers, but that's because I stare at the screen all day every day... if you can't, you could go down in flames8O

I am still waiting for the affiliate link to the newsletter your touting:lol:
Good not to hit us with it right off8)

First comment out of the box assumes I am from the site I am touting. After spending the last few months visiting different sites and forums, and getting a bad feeling about almost every one of them, I understand your skepticism. Trust me, my good fortune might very well be nothing more than luck.
I am nothing more than a non-disgruntled postal worker from the midwest. For now, I will keep the site to myself, however the stocks that I was successfull at were AXTG (my $2000 education), RCAU, BTEM, MVBY, and most recently CAJT.
The above mention site comes out with a pick only once every month or so, and did so today at 12:13PM, CANAM ENERGY CNGJ.PK. We can watch it rise or tank together.
As for the question, why change? I have no plans to. I purchased $2000 worth today and am down a bit so far.
Honestly, the whole purpose of my post was probably greed. I made a few bucks and figured others must be doing it also.
Just thought I would pick your brains.
By the way, every one of the above mentioned stocks eventually tanked big time.
To microhedge: I enjoy reading you posts. I am not a daytrader. What you do though, I find very interesting. It is however, way beyond me.

Thanks for listening.

Hototc.com posted that little number today as well as the others you mentioned... that newsletter has a pretty big audience and you can ride some of those to short success!

Happy trading Mr. Postman!!! The Best of Luck to you!

I posted GTEC in a new thread, they are pretty solid you might want to take a look at them.

For me it was luck, I happened to be skimming over them when the news came out this a.m.
