Are there any hand held devices that can pick up stock quotes or the internet at a remote area, that you know of? I am not up on all the latest devices and could really use something like that, around here. We don't live in a city and I have to watch and trade my husband's stocks, while he's outdoors building houses. You may think I am the one obsessed, because I am on this board all the time, but it's not me! Thanks for any suggestions!!

Are you just looking for something that will allow you to view a ticker or do you need something that will allow you to trade?

Either one would be helpful, at this point, but trading would be ideal. I have no idea what my options are, at the moment.

You may already have capabilities if you have a web-enabled cell phone. I know that coverage on the OBX is a little iffy, but that would be my choice. From most phones you should be able to set up a ticker to monitor stocks. In terms of trading, I don't know if cell phones would have the capability to do that, might have to use a hand-held device (blackberry, palm pilot) or a laptop with wan support.

Thanks, that gives me some things to look into, I didn't know where to start. Here on the OBX, we don't even have a real computer store, to speak of. If we did, I would have just gone in and asked.
