Just the opposite of the green shoots crowd, these reports and blogs take the most horrible of outcomes and back them up with the ever popular charts and history lessons. I like it.
Nevermind that some are on the fringes of lunacy, I don't disregard anything I read. I do attempt to impose my own filters though.
I will tell you; if there is a "bank holiday" coming or marshal law is declared or if O gives any private property to China or if the swine flu was introduced on purpose or if Bildersberg is planning a one world society at the expense of all of the masses, then I want to be NOT SURPRISED.

They just don’t always obey the law blindly and not one officer or citizen that I spoke to said anything like “I hope I get to keep this gun for awhile before they are banned; They are fun to shoot, so I would hate to give it up.” It isn’t going to happen, so the cop on the street and the soldier on the base needs to think now what he will do if the orders come down. One of the things Iranians are shouting from rooftops at night is a plea for the police to do the right thing and protect the citizens from the Basij.
When the time comes, if it comes, will our police do the right thing or will they fire on the crowd? My HK USC 45 ACP's are a hedge in this regard, because I remember Kent State, and even Ruby Ridge and Waco.

Sure. Any number of ways they are preparing us for financial armageddon.
BUENOS AIRES -(Dow Jones)- Argentina's private-sector banks will shut down Friday as part of a nationwide effort to contain the spread of the A/H1N1 swine flu, local press reported Friday.
The banks' decision coincides with Friday's special holiday for all government workers, which was declared by the Interior Ministry on Tuesday.
Friday's holiday rolls on from Thursday's Independence Day holiday, and authorities believe people will use the long weekend as an excuse to stay home and therefore help slow the spread of the virus.
The Argentine Health Ministry on Sunday reported that the official death toll in Argentina from swine flu has reached 60, and there are a total of 2,485 officially confirmed cases.
However, many believe the official numbers lag the actual rate of infection, and that the real numbers are much higher.
The Argentine Banking Association wasn't immediately able to confirm the reports
I served in the Army as an MP. Had I been serving and an order came down to fire against civilians of the USA, I would have walked and suffered the consequences.

GS is getting exposed and everybody hates them. By design. They will continue to rape retail consumers then dissolve into the Fed as not The Bank of America but The Bank of The United States of America.
This will make them invisible and ready to become the Bank of The World. Our military and financial dominance leaves this as the final goal of the oligarchs. People that the US owes money to will have zero. We'll default. Debt problem solved. And they can't do nuttin. Even if the entire world banded against us, they would die.
Sadly, they will first crush the entire population of the world and put us into poverty and break our will to resist. It will be fun time place.

Goldman Sachs in Talks to Acquire Treasury Department
http://www.ritholtz.com/blog/2009/07/goldman-sachs-in-talks-to-acquire-treasury-department/
Sister Entities to Share Employees, Money
In what some on Wall Street are calling the biggest blockbuster deal in the history of the financial sector, Goldman Sachs confirmed today that it was in talks to acquire the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
According to Goldman spokesperson Jonathan Hestron, the merger between Goldman and the Treasury Department is “a good fit” because “they’re in the business of printing money and so are we.”
The Goldman spokesman said that the merger would create efficiencies for both entities: “We already have so many employees and so much money flowing back and forth, this would just streamline things.”
Mr. Hestron said the only challenge facing Goldman in completing the merger “is trying to figure out which parts of the Treasury Dept. we don’t already own.”
Goldman recently celebrated record earnings by roasting a suckling pig over a bonfire of hundred-dollar bills.
Elsewhere, conspiracy theorists celebrated the 40th anniversary of NASA faking the moon landing.
And in South Carolina, Gov. Mark Sanford gave his wife a new diamond ring, while his wife gave him an electronic ankle bracelet.

So I was checking out a free dating site. A big one. Interesting there were 3x as many men as women across all age groups. And I'm talking thousands upon thousands at the younger ages, all within 50 miles of me.
From what I gather men are liars and only want sex and will mail private pictures at the drop of a hat, unsolicited. Women want security. You otta see how many are back in school in the 50+ year old bracket. Prolly not for "fulfillment" purposes either, I'll bet. I'm sure it's always been like this but in reading the bios, it seems more pointed.
It's gotta be tough out there. Virtually every man and woman has taken a hit to their finances/job/credit and that hurts the male ego big time while causing survivability concerns for the mommies. Casual dating isn't so casual anymore.

People are still trading and analyzing charts but the chatter is getting louder and more widely read as to the folly of it all.
1) GoldmanSaks runs the world.
2) They are doing what it takes to save the economy. Uh, well, at least the markets (with computers).
3) Gubment is doing their part by manufacturing any and all relevant data reporting including T-Bills, employment, media (in collusion), u name it while keeping all the big numbers secret.
4) Media, as a slave, sh*ts out what the gubby feeds them and asks for more.
5) Can't borrow shares (brokers force you to cover two weeks later, can u say rally?), can't play options with the VIX being fixed like it is. Can't be a bear at all.
So GovSaks and close friends keep going up without limits while anyone that actually has to balance their books (you and me) continues to get a progressively lower quality of life. I actually don't see a way to stop this.
Ahhhhhhhhhhh.......maybe armageddon will come. I can see it start with a little pebble dropped in a body of water on a far distant shore.

I also notice increasing "looks" from younger and younger wimmins (older ones too, LOL). What is also deteriorating is auto care and maintenance. More and more cars are running around needing a wash, including the more expensive ones. Oil spots in lots, unfixed broken lights and dents and the gloomy looks on people's faces as they fill up point to a much less enjoyable driving experience. Being "proud and loud" is becoming so yesterday.
As I expected, dance clubs and the sponsored free beach parties are going strong. Entertainment is the last hold out of normalcy. Sadly, the population at my Spa is shrinking. Heh, zeitgeist makes me think of zeppelins which can deflate, sometimes quickly and explosively.

hehe This thread is turning into my personal blog.
Thought for today:
I always knew I could be rich if I could get $1 from a ton of folks. A lot of businesses have done just that. Now, businesses and government is doing it by force on an exponential basis.
So the not so subtle destruction in cash flow for most is becoming truly alarming.
Take a dollar and people adjust. Take half of your money and people revolt. The ripple from that pebble is growing.

"As trillions of dollars were shifted out of America by legal and illegal means to reinvest in Asia and emerging markets and to build a global military empire, we left a sovereign nation economic model behind. Finally, the expense and corruption of empire resulted in bailouts of $12-14 trillion, delivering a new financial war chest to the people leading the financial engineering. Now we have exploding unemployment, an exploding federal deficit, an Inspector General for the TARP bailout program predicting that the ultimate bailout cost could rise to $23.7 trillion and a Congressional Budget Director who is concluding that we can no longer afford the social safety net.
That is, unless you change the actuarial assumptions in the budget – like life expectancy. Lowering immune systems and increasing toxicity levels combined with poor food, water and terrorizing stress will help do the trick. Review the history of vaccines rushed into production without proper testing and peer review - it is clear about the potential side effects. In addition, a plague can so frighten and help control people that they will accept the end of their current benefits (and the resulting implications to life expectancy) without objection. And a plague with proper planning can be highly profitable. Whatever the truth of what swine flu and related vaccines are, it can be used as a way to keep control in a situation that is quickly shifting out of control."

I've been really into music the last few years (for the first time in my life). As in 8 gigs on my player, mostly reggae, latin, ska, blues, R&R, psychedelic, and most of the 60's and 70's most driving music. This era is the last time anything meaningful came into the music world and most of us in the generation will not forsake the intention, even as we have screwed the rest of the world for money.
