I would expect better from an "on-line" brokarage. This kind of stuff just &#* me off!

This happened in May, and it took them until now to actually admit it.

BTW, Scottrade doesn't have a great history with data security either.

This is happening everywhere. I just received a letter from a hospital I worked at from 2000-2003 stating that a computer had been stolen containing employee confidential information such as SS#s. If the company LifeLock, http://www.lifelock.com/, ever goes public you will know where to invest your money.

Ameritrade was one of the worst platforms I ever used, but I have to disagree with Rynn about Scottrade though.
