Got to be some guitar players here.

So how many of you that have lost some money here or there thought to themselves, "Hhmmm ... maybe I should have bought that Les Paul instead" or if it's worse than that..."Hhmmm maybe I should have purchased that VINTAGE Les Paul instead." :)

Are you a player yoyo? I have been teaching Classical guitar at the college level for the last 9 years.

The closest I ever came to a Les Paul was a Starfield Les Paul copy. :) I know this is an old thread; but, it never got a reply.

I is. Very cool guy. I studied classical at that level myself although I wasn't a classical major I kept it up over the years just because I always liked it.

Yeah man...I checked out a few of the pieces. Very, very nice. Bravo.

I'm still hacking away at the same few pieces I learned 20 years ago.

If I can get good enough at stock trading to make a good living, we can get together and jam sometime! lol

I have been playing about 19 years at this point. Some of those videos were filmed in 1999 or so. I sometimes sit in front of the computer watching my stocks and practicing.

What pieces are you 'hacking away' at?

That is some good repertoire. I might have played a couple of those. But for the most part, I have yet to play many of those. Well, if I make it to a mill., we'll get together and do a duo. :)

I doubt if I'm good enough to join the duo but I'm learning to play. I've got a Peavey electric guitar and I'm learning chords from a beach boy and beatles book. So far so good. I'd really like to play bass and maybe buy a vintage hoffner bass guitar.

I'm also a player! I did go to school for music (sound recording and production/engineering), and as a part of that, had to study with classical teachers. I'll be honest with you though...that was pretty rough for me. I've been playing for a long time now, but I was a fish out of water there.

The guitars worth mentioning: 1996 Les Paul Studio Lite with EMG 81/85s, 1996 Gibson Explorer, ESP M-II Deluxe also with EMGs, and a USA Made Jackson AT-1 (Soloist (strat) shaped, archtop, mahogany body with an ebony fretboard, Kent Armstrong pickups, Sperzel locking tuners - very handsome guitar!)

Never could get the guitar down...actually, I used to be able to play Puff the Magic Dragon haha. Played saxaphone for 8 years, alto and barri. We should get a band going.
