ive said it before, i will say it again- ratigan is top notch. puts together a little nightly trading show which competes with the rocks star cramer's mad money. cross training over on pbs and sunday morning nbc. and when the market swoons and the money men have something to say- they get him to anchor a "keeping america great" summit. and he even anchored it with a straight face! heck he even called paulson on the weak dollar. twice. should i mention ratigan plays in a band?

overall financial television is useless. it is entertainment paid for by advertisers who wish to sell something to the viewer. but on occasion a bright tv personality is born, and whether it be on cnbc or a gameshow, this person will become recognized. how long until he hosts a late night show on a major network? although in his early thirties, he has an excellent amount of experience, and a growing profile of exposure. what ever he decides, im sure he will outshine.

Apparently he's the most famous guy ever to come out of Saranac Lake (his grandfather was mayor)

Ratigan makes the show go. He gets the best out of the traders on the show. And he keeps the show moving. He's a little like Louis Rukeyser on crack(but not as witty). I look forward to watching the show every night.

His humor and general positive energy commands respect, due to a sustaining principle ethic he labors to ensure is not forgotten, that being the principle of the customer, the constitution of the service providers and intelligent stake holders. His regard for constitution is evident. If there was any real change going on and not just a change over of the same sellout mental midgets issuing New World Order debt notes and compounding ''to the enth factor'', someone with discernment would put an offer for this guy on the table, one that puts him at the head of a governing oversight table.
It's laborious ...reading anything but the Financial Times or listening to Fast Money because of this guy. I dig all the fast money personalities, even the pathetic calls useful indicators but, this guy ... well, he is just great.

Too bad he apparently left the show. He had great chemistry with the traders. He did tough, smart interviews with his guests. He will be deeply missed. I probably won't watch the show as much now.

it's bad enough Ratigan is gone but they picked the ditz Melissa Lee to take over.

Holy crap. Show will be a turd now.

What a sad day for Fast Money and CNBC. They will be losing many viewers after choosing Melissa Lee to host Fast Money. Dylan is such a great host he will be difficult to replace, but they are starting with the worst possible choice. I will be removing the show from my Tivo season pass if she continues to be on the show. Please give us someone like Dylan who is willing to challenge the traders and the guests when they avoid questions. Give us someone who understands the situations we face and who understands the concept of hosting a show. Melissa is unable to comprehend the traders and this becomes apparent when she has trouble wrapping up each segment. She is constantly saying "bottom line....." and then looks for someone else to finish the sentence. When they took Dylan off of On the Money the show fell apart and so will Fast Money. Not sure who the perfect replacement would be, but my picks would be Becky Quick, Carl, Maria, or some new person. But you will have to let me know since I won't be watching.

I think CNBC as a whole is getting harder and harder to watch everyday. Too many personal opinions, and too little substance. When you ask a question, let the guest at least answer. All the yelling over each other is getting old.

Dylan will be missed, but it could have been much worse than Melissa Lee.

I think it’s a great improvement that he stepped down. I was tired of his interruptions of others while they were trying to explain something and I was really fed up and stopped watching due to him hitting on Adami.
Melissa lets people finish a complete thought and discuss things and I think she’s doing a great job. Even Karen seems to be more relaxed and is now doing a pretty good job in front of the camera, something she never could do with Dylan.
