HAL - Halliburton Co.

I'm not in on this one, I'm just observing.

How many of you think this stock will break through the resistance level and keep on going? :D

It's got earnings coming out next week on Monday, before the market opens.

This should help.

HOUSTON (AP) - Oilfield services conglomerate Halliburton Co. has been awarded a five-year, $200 million contract to provide completion products and services to a group of energy companies operating in Malaysia.

The group includes Petronas Carigali, Exxon Mobil Exploration & Production Malaysia Inc., Shell Exploration and Production Malaysia and Newfield Peninsula Malaysia Inc., Halliburton said Thursday.

technicals look strong for a breakthrough of the resistance, should make it a new support...

backed by solid fundamentals as well.

SLB reports bmo tommorow, could impact HAL in either direction. Banc of America initiated coverage at a buy on HAL, SLB, DRQ and BHI yesterday and it showed in their gains today, a good er beat by SLB could provide a good bump for the drillers tommorow. I'll probably sell my position some time on Friday, HAL's er response last Q wasn't inspiring even though they beat expectations.
