DJIA will hold 14000 today

Just my $.02 but I think we'll shoot out of the box and be up a 100 today. Asian markets are all up and I liked the run up to the close wednesday.

Looks like the early futures are pointing well above FV. Might be a good entry point for MER if it doesn't gap up too much, LUK as well.

I'll be more impressed if the spooz can close above 1555. Definitely a higher open, but it's a long day to be swayed by earnings of companies like MSFT & GOOG, MOT and EBAY already provided a negative.

Futures still up after GOOG and MSFT er's, probably a good sign. CAT reports bmo, should have an impact on the futures tommorow morning. SP500 close over 1555 on a Friday would be strong and probably inspire short covering in the futures market. Can't wait, wish the markets were open 24 hours:)

I do too, but it's probably healthier for me to have some down time. Check the times of my first two posts in this thread.

I hear ya, I was going to sleep at 2-4am and getting up at 7am for quite a while. I had to resort to taking sleeping pills, but with a 24hr market, I could just nod off and set price alert alarms to wake me...but then I'd probably never get outside, yep normal hours are much healthier;)

CAT made it's mark with that miss, but even with goog, msft and cat weighing in, the spooz futures are stabilized at around -3.7 pts Usually an acceleration into some deep red occurs when the futures traders are really concerned, I wouldn't be surprised to see a turnaround before the open or a rally from a dip as some retail longs shake out. It's just not that bad, especially considering the Chinese interest rate hike, imo.
