Anyone have anything to say about subscription services such as AAPlus or the like? Good things? Bad things? Recommendations? Thanks.

Not familiar with AAPlus and google didn't help, what type of services are you looking for?

Nothing specific. I am intrigued by trading but also understand the importance of investing. I really like the charts at stockcharts.com which is an $11/month subscription.

I don't want to sound lazy and expect people to do the research for me. I was just inquiring as to if anyone had subscribed to anything such as the wallstreetjournal etc.

Action Alerts Plus (AAPlus) is that service where Jim C. emails his subscribers before he makes moves in his charity fund.

I subscribe to WSJ, Barrons, and IBD. All well worth it. I also subscribe to the Street.com and their stocks under $10 neither of which I will re up. I trade on a Thompson workstation which is the best platform I have ever seen, it's really designed for professionals and has client management features I don't use, but it's pretty delux with the stuff I do use. I subscribe to a bunch of magazines and like Active Trader and Tech Analysis of stocks and commodities a lot.

Awesome, thanks. Also, in reference to the workstation you use, is it the Thomson NetTrader service?

Prolly costs a boatload since they dont even list the price, heh. But its cool to see what tools are available to traders.

I have the Thompson One Wealth management workstation, it has the asset management suite integrated in. Boatload sounds about right. Worth every dime.
