For the first time in the history of Indian stock markets, trading was halted at the upper circuit one minute after trading began on Monday in reaction to the United Progressive Alliance's impressive victor

SHORT IT!!!!!!!!!! Problematic rule is that you have to cover before the day ends. Cannot carry overnight short :)

Indian market has always been a bit of a monkey market. Back in its peak,it was around 22,000 - i.e the market cap was a whooping 195% of the countries GDP. Ofcourse, its an emerging market and the worlds largest democracy and everything, but almost a 80% rally in 10 weeks seems a bit ridiculous to me when the global fundamentals are still weak.

Don't go by my name John. I am Indian!

Talking about ridiculous 80% rally. Look at US rally and fundamentals and manipulation. US people are crying about this rally(many missing this rally, shorts burning etc etc).

Pure strong growth is in Asia not US(anyone can be KING living with credit card but who will pay the debt?). Anyway, Peace. I love US very much as well but I don't like the way things are going on here. I pray that things go well in US so that everyone is happy!

Looks like my previous post ticked you off in a wrong way - make no mistakes about it, i've got nothing against the country or its people nor its market..i look at the figures, and when the market cap is twice a nations GDP,i feel that to be a bit to frothy for my liking.Just my 2 cents.

As for the current rally, i guess there are plenty of folks around here who would agree that we are in for some corrections.Things have stabilized, but not so dramatically that could justify a 30% rally we've had since march(still dwarfs the 80% rally Indian markets have had since march), but hey, as long as people make money and secure their investments,i am happy.

Don't worry I did not take anything in a wrong way :)

Question about Frothy markets? I think they will take care of themselves!

While the west moves left, the east moves right.

India is finally throwing out the communist, and we're finally embracing them.

The east will do so much for the rest of the world in this century.

God speed.

I agree, hopefully things will get so bad here in the USA that people will come to realize that we need to get back on the right track.
