Book for short term stocks?

I was looking on amazon and there was a TON of books on short term stocks. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a book(s) for a complete beginner for stocks, but more so for the short term stocks which is what I'm interested in. Thanks!

short term trading in the new stock market was a pretty good book. The first few chapters are a good introduction for beginners.

If you are interested in stock options. There is a new book that is available on amazon.com that is fun to read and extremely helpful for beginners just getting their feet wet or experts looking generate higher returns. Give the book a try. I believe you can read the first chapter on the book's website. thepowercurve.com. I personally found the author to be very insightful so I hope it helps you too.

I actually stumbled across that book on BarnesandNoble.com. I really warn anyone who is interested in options trading to really do extensive research to understand what you are getting yourself into. I have a lot of experience about stock options (I used to trade them myself)and the various strategies for using them. I have seen how dangerous it is if you don't know what yo uare doing- during the crash of 1987, I literally saw people lose their homes because of options. They had sold options "naked" - then the market crashed and they had to come up with money they really didn't have. If you want to learn how you can make options a very lucrative investment make sure you read a lot and get advice from experienced traders. The power curve that Jason mentioned is actually pretty consise book that offers option basics and expert strategies. Make sure you give it a try.

Just to reiterate what Jake and Jason have already mentioned - I read The Power Curve as well and was very impressed with the simple writing style which reveals very crucial and complex information on trading, as well as strategies that can help anyone in the process. A great book all in all.
